Staying on a farm between the apple and pear trees. In the heart of the Randstad, centrally located between Amsterdam, Haarlem, Leiden and The Hague, The Estate is Olmenhorst. Here, amidst the urbanized area, you will find an unexpected oasis of tranquility. Once the stately driveway, you find yourself in another world. The path leads past flowery borders, monumental buildings and, especially, many orchards. On this estate now lives and works the fifth generation of the family de Clercq.
From the chalet you can explore the area. Possibly with a carefully groomed bike solex or boat (or dinghy sailing)
Every season there is plenty to do in the area. How about a visit to the exhibition in Keukenhof flower bulbs or cycling between the bulb fields.
In the summer season you drive in 15 minutes to the beach or the dunes of Langevelderslag and Noordwijk.
But you do not even off the estate. There is plenty to do on the estate:
• Large estate shop
• Picnic in the orchard
• Large playground near the estate shop
• Various workshop workshop
• And in the autumn, you can relax on the estate picking apples and pears.
On the Estate:
you can walk between the apple and pear orchards. For children there are several educational quests to explore the estate. We gladly provide you with nice trails and a picnic in our orchard is of course a must.

Make a good workout in the area with a picnic basket in front. Dunes, forest and beach are not too far as the charming Kaageiland (10 minutes by bike) with all its water sports activities.
The villages Lisse and New Vennep with a cozy village center are within cycling distance. Furthermore, you are by car within 25 minutes in the cities: Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague and Haarlem

Europe's biggest playground has more than three hundred and fifty playgrounds and attractions such as cable cars, trampoline & bouncy center, paddle boats, go-karts engine, funny-wheels, rocking bicycles, mini golf and a super slide. Spectacular is eleven meters high Piratennest and Pioneer Village is a treat to play. Water playground "Oasis" offers a huge water spectacle where young and old can enjoy playing with water.
Here you can stroll through nature. Waternet also organizes activities throughout the year in the splendid dunes. For example, on an excursion bats, nature guides with an early morning walk with the ranger for a bike ride, or learn to recognize bird sounds.
A little further away;
In Archeon experience the history of the Netherlands. On this particular park are huts, temples, inns, monastery, guild houses, bridges and ports each a reconstruction of buildings from earlier times. These reconstructions are inhabited by so-called Archeon Interpretation. These allow you to know the customs and living conditions of the time.
Avifauna Bird Park is the first and one of the most famous bird sanctuaries in the world. The park has lots of greenery and ponds a restaurant and a large playground with slide traditionally the highest tower in the Netherlands. The park was owned by the Van der Valk group but since the beginning of 2012 a foundation. Avifauna Bird Park Foundation is committed to bird and nature and has an ANBI status (Institution for General Benefit). From the park can also be made cruises.
