Perfect for family getaways or a writers' retreat. Miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. In Spring, masses of lupine; in the summer, wild blueberries and strawberries; in the fall, serene walks in the woods to enjoy the changing color; and, in the winter, miles of trails perfect for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

Great vacation house!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this house. The property is so beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring the many trails. The hike to the log cabin was a nightly must for the kids. It is so relaxing a serene. The house is very clean and well-maintained. We felt so welcome there. I would recommended this house to anyone. We can't say enough about this place. The location was perfect for us, as we enjoy visiting Franconia Notch State Park. Polly's Pancake Parlor in town is also a must.

An idyllic spot

My family and I can't say enough about this vacation rental. The house is very clean and well taken care of and the property is magnificent. We spent every evening sitting on the second floor deck listening to birds, crickets and frogs and watching the mountain range shift with the clouds and light. It is a very quiet setting yet it's only a fifteen minute drive to Littleton with it's main street of funky shops and restaurants. Overall, it was an idyllic vacation for us and we are definitely planning a return visit.

Great place to get away!

This is the second time our family has rented the Gibbs Farm and once again we were thrilled with our visit! It is so peaceful up there. The kids love the ponds and the apple trees and and hike to the cabin is always a first order of business. Great place to spend some time, we plan on coming back soon!

What a brilliant place. We were looking for a scenic, quiet and relaxing place to stay in the Appalachians from which to explore the Franconia National Park. The delightful Swiss-style chalet was extremely comfortable and the surrounding grounds provided a large activity playground for the kids. Loved Polly's Pancake Parlor. We'll be back again from Australia soon.

I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday location! Just a flight to Boston and a few hours in the rental car.Everything was SUPERB! The house is well appointed and very comfortable and cosy overlooking a lake and surrounded by beautiful forested hills. We were there earlier this year on a recommendation from a friend of ours who knows the Gibbs family very well. In fact we enjoyed the week so much we are in the process of booking up for another week this autumn,when the scenery is a blazing shock of reds and bronzes and yellows. Cant wait! Its a great place to relax and unwind, with miles of walking on the doorstep(we were hoping to bump in to Bill Bryson),or jump in the car and explore the local sights, Franconia Notch and Cannon Mountain, to mention two. Pollys Pancake Parlour is a must. Molly misses that the most!
