A beautiful, third floor flat in the trees, equipped to the corkscrew for self-directed vacationing. Restaurants, galleries, clambakes, sailing and fishing charters, the Harbor Beach and town dock are all within easy walking distance. An exceptional Maine Harbor and Beach experience anytime of year, yet only an hour from Boston. The flat has a nice living room with an office nook, a sunny and well-equipped eat-in kitchen with full appliances, a laundry room/half bath, a large bedroom, a full bath (ensuite) and a lovely rooftop deck with seating for four.

Central Location, Walk to Beach: For day trips to Boston (1 hour), Portsmouth, NH (15 minutes), NH mountains (Winnepesaukee region 1 hour, White mountains 1-1/2 hours), Portland, ME (45 minutes), Bath-Boothbay Region (1-12 hour), Penobscot Bay Region (2-1/2 hours); Freeport shopping (1-1/4 hours), Kittery Outlet Mall shopping (10 minutes), Ogunquit (15 minutes). Busses and trains serve a variety of these locations. Local attractions for old fashion Maine vacations are but a walk away.

Golf, Fishing, Boating, Skiing, Hiking: There are very good public golf courses nearby in York and surrounding towns. One of the best is York Ledges, a short drive away. Fishing trips can be arranged from the town docks and top notch skiing begins within an hour's drive. There are also boat rides, kayak rentals, beach front arcades, merry-go-rounds, Ferris wheels, water parks and saltwater taffy within a few minutes drive. York Harbor itself is a quiet, refined and very beautiful area with an outstanding beach and lovely places to walk But it is central to one of the best vacation areas in the country and we will be happy to help you plan something special if you call us.

Health Care : York's excellent Hospital is within walking distance. Portsmouth Regional is 15 minutes away. Maine Medical Center is 45 minutes and Boston's renowned hospitals are just over an hour away.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. This is a terrific location, a short walk down a country lane to the Harbor Beach. The beach offers limited parking so it is never overcrowded like some locations. A real treat was buying live lobsters for dinner just outside our door practically!
The facility itself is very comfortable and attractive with a super little rooftop deck among the trees in a quiet Victorian neighborhood along the Harbor. There's a full kitchen and equipment plus an outdoor grilling area in the backyard. There are great places to eat within walking distance ranging from church suppers to multi-star gourmet restaurants. Boston is only an hour away, yet you are in a real Maine harbor and beach environment. The mountains are also an hour away, but you really don't have to leave the immediate area.
Some of our activities were bocce on the hard sand at low tide, kayaking on the York River (Town rents kayaks), walking to a great little art museum and picnicking on the grass at the spectacular park on the cliffs overlooking the beach and ocean. Also, there are very good examples of historical buildings, including exhibits, in the village of York Harbor, a short walk away. A delightful experience!!

What a wonderful area for a slow paced, relaxing vacation. We really enjoyed the roof top deck, reading and simply spending time talking. The kitchen was fully equipped providing a wonderful opportunity to entertain and eat lobster, of course. By the way the lobster is sold in a small store ... easy walk from the condo. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach; it is not congested at all. We walked every day and enjoyed doing the fisherman's walk and also the area overlooking the ocean. The neighborhood is very safe and friendly. We would definitely book another week or two here.

This property is a very good location to the ocean, shopping in Freeport, and to many historical site (don't miss Vaughn Woods).
Restaurants nearby that are very good are Fosters (scallop meal) and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Joint (on Rte. 1 towards Mount A).
