Perfectly situated between Okemo and Killington, the two best ski mountains in Vermont, makes an ideal location for winter and summer fun. The mountains offer all the winter sports and in the summer they have the great golf courses, water slide, and mountain bike riding on top of Killington. The house is on a snowmobile trail and next to a state park for hiking, mountain biking, x-country skiing, pan for gold and find ruins or you can take a long walk over to the Calvin Coolidge Homestead. Minutes away are the lakes for swimming, boating and fishing. Ten to fifteen minutes can put you on Long Trail or take you to beautiful Woodstock with its Billings Farm Museum, art galleries, fine restaurants, and shops. Also close to Appalachian Trail and rock climbing. In the other direction (30 min+) is the charming village of Weston with its country stores, Inns for fine dining and the Weston Playhouse. Come in the fall and enjoy the beautiful foliage. A great area to come to play or relax.

Great House, Great Location, Great Owner

This was the second year that we stayed at the house. Three families with practically grown kids had plenty of room. House is stocked with everything in more than ample supply, towels, linnens, paper products, spices etc. Everything works and is in excellent condition. This is a unique house with character.

We skiied at both Okemo and Killington. Best possible location to split time between these two mountains.

Joan is the best to work with. She responds promptly, sends an abundance of information for the area and keeps you informed on everything that is going on. She even delivered snow right before our arrival and great skiing temperatures for our stay.

We look forward to visiting again next year

Perfect hockey moms get away

It's hard to find homes that can comfortably fit16 hockey moms, but this house was perfect. The sleeping arrangments couldn't be better (no pull out couches), and the dining area sat all 16. The living room was a little cozy for games and dancing, but we made it work with lots of laughter. Lots of great trails, and even a nice hilly road next door for the fitness buff. Owners are very nice to work with as well.

Winter Stay

I recently stayed at this home as part of an annual ski trip with a total of 18 women. We fit very comfortably in the house, and the layout was great. Large enough to accommodate large groups, and spread out enough so people hanging in one area of the house weren't disturbing others in other parts of the house. The house came fully stocked with everything you'd need besides food. Joan was excellent to work with...very prompt in responding to inquiries and provided a ton of information about the house and nearby activities. We skied at Okemo Mountain which was only about a 15 minute drive from the house. Everyone had a great time and really loved the house. We are already planning on renting again next year!

Beautiful House, Great Location, Wonderful Owner

This house is absolutely amazing. The house is perfect for large groups! The amenities provide tons of things to do at the house - pool table, ping pong, darts, games, hot tub, wood stove, etc. - and the location is perfect for sight seeing and skiing / snowboarding. The house is only minutes from Okemo, Bear, Killington, and Pico ski centers whihch are all great destinations for beginners to experts.

In addition to hitting the slopes, my group visited the town of Woodstock, VT and Rutland, VT which are both relatively near by. Additionally, we took a trip to the Long Trail Brewery which is literally down the road from the house.

I have been coordinating a New Years trip for a group of 12-18 people for the last 7 years and I must say that Joan was the best owner to work with. The description of the house was accurate, she was responsive to emails and questions, and the house was fully stocked with everything from towels and linens, to bathroom and cleaning supplies.
