Casa dell'Accademia is a lovely, comfortable apartment right in the middle of Sorrento’s historical centre.
Spend a few hours wandering around this part of town and you’ll know why so many visitors fall in love with Sorrento. The old town is home to numerous historical buildings including the Basilica of Sant’Antonino and the complex of San Francesco. The quaint narrow streets are full of colourful shops and local restaurants serving fresh, authentic food. All this and more will be on your doorstep when you stay at Casa dell'Accademia.
On the ground floor of an age-old historical building, Casa dell'Accademia comfortably accommodates up to four people.
The living room is charming; with two single sofa beds, a dining table seating four and a flat screen television. There is hot and cold air conditioning, to ensure your comfort whatever the time of year. Casa dell'Accademia also has an internet Wifi connection.
A small flight of four steps leads you to the galley kitchen, with an attractive exposed brickwork arch. You will find everything you need should you choose to cater for yourself during your stay, including four gas rings, an oven, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There is also a washing machine, ironing board and iron.
The double bedroom is unusually spacious, with ample space for a double bed and armchairs. Moving into the bathroom, tastefully decorated with mosaic tiles in natural tones, you will find a shower enclosure, wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer.
A car is not recommended for a stay at Casa dell'Accademia. Public transport links are very good and many attractions are within easy walking distance. Should you need to use a vehicle during your stay, there is nearby public parking, chargeable at 2,50 Euros per hour.
Should you wish to travel beyond the confines of Sorrento, the delights of the region await you. Why not take a day trip to Naples, Ischia, Capri or Procida? Or take the opportunity to explore the stunning Amalfi Coast, visiting Amalfi, Positano or Ravello?
However long you have to spend at Casa dell'Accademia, you will bring home the memory of many wonderful experiences.

PS II.: Note: From 1 April to 31 October the Municipal Council of Sorrento has instituted a mandatory tourist tax on all temporary residents.
The tourist tax must be added to the total amount of stay and has to be pay cash at the arrival.
Rich in uncontaminated naturalistic beauties, Sorrento offers to its visitors a lively historical centre with a lot of historical architectural and religious works to admire. The centre of Sorrento winds along the axle delimited from Via Pietà, Via San Cesareo, Via Padre Reginaldo Giuliani and Via Tasso.
Besides a magic atmosphere, narrow lanes full of restaurants and small shops of local craftsmanship, the historical Sorrento centre holds Palazzo Veniero, Palazzo Correale with its tiled with majolica dated from 1700 courtyard, the historical seats of Porta and Dominova, place appointed to the Sorrento nobility meetings, and the MuseoBottega of the Wood Inlaying, which keeps the ancient tradition of the Sorrento wood inlay. Among the religious works to be admired in the Sorrento centre, the Cathedral with its inlaid wooden choir, the St. Antony Basilicaand the St. Francis Complex, of which famous is the Cloister, medieval building with fourteenth-century arcs, where every year hundreds of Italian and foreigners marriages take place.
