a. rent whole unit over 2 floors with internal staircase as a 2 bed/2 bath complete with sofabed in the living room, kitchen & private deck , perfect for maximum 6 people OR...

b. rent the downstairs as a 1 bed/1 bath AND additional folding sofa bed with own private entrance - fully equipped living room with tv/dvd/library etc & kitchen with own private deck, perfect for 2-4 people, OR ...

c. rent upstairs unit only - with its own private entrance - as a small 1 bed/1 shower room with access to public deck below for 1 person or 2 people! Great for guests wanting a 'base camp' only at great location at a great price... & no kitchen means no cooking!

All options with free wi-fi, & guests met on arrival.

Not only is it flexible but also we think this flat has one of the best locations in Central London!

A fantastic location in the quiet beating heart of the South Bank yet is only a short stroll from the excitement of Covent Garden, the West End & the Olympic sites. South Bank attractions include the beautifully remodelled Royal Festival Hall, The National Theatre & the iconic Oxo Tower (all moments away). The penthouse restuarant at the Oxo Tower offers one of the best views of London.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre (to see or not to see it, that is the question!), the Tate Gallery of Modern Art (Miro a must!) and the staggering London Eye (dwarfing Big Ben!) are all less than a 10 minute walk from the property.

These world class attractions are knitted together by the inspiring river walkway (pedestrianized) which threads the length of the South Bank to London Bridge, the Tower of London & beyond.

The location is perfect for the tourists and children. All the major tourist attractions are a mere caber toss (a Scottish pastime!) from the apartment, which means that you can save on expensive travel cards during your stay.

Whilst you can genuinely walk to all the major sites on foot, public transport is right outside. A red bus picks up right outside the apartment stopping at attractions between Covent Garden & London Bridge, as do passing black taxis.

Waterloo station (main Train line & Tube line) is only 5 minutes walk away.

Paris is possible as an exciting daytrip on Eurostar in 2 hrs!

The apartment enjoys a fabulous location - so you will never be short of truly world class entertainment - restaurants, bars, theatres, cinemas, clubs.

Broadwall is arranged over 2 floors & has all amenities. It comprises of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the downstairs one is en suite with shower and a bath. Bathroom and shower room furniture is complimented with chrome taps and shower fittings, towel rail, wall-to-wall mirrors and siena tiled floors. There is a sofa bed.

Hallways and living/dining & bedrooms feature beautiful cherry wood flooring.

The kitchen has quality designer units featuring curved breakfast bar. Integrated appliances include washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster stainless steel hob with build in oven and extractor hood.

One of the great benefits of this property is that despite its fabulous central location it enjoys a marvellous secure & peaceful outside deck, leading onto a fantastic urban garden.

Location, location, location!

We chose Barry's flat for the location potential and size for our first visit to London. It worked very, very well for us, and we will reiterate previous reviews that Barry is an awesome host. Met us upon arrival after long red-eye from States. Explained operations of the flat and then toured us around the neighborhood and addressed questions about things to do and how to enjoy the more local flavors of London. We followed several of his recommendations with success! Barry will point out the various modes of transportation that you have available within in easy, easy walking distance: between Waterloo and Southwark tube stations, the DLR, bus stop to Tower of London , water ferries on the Thames, taxis, and your own two feet - London is a highly walkable city - but prepare yourself for the serious walking involved! Westminster and Millennium Bridges are within walking distance of the flat and the riverfront is a very active social scene on the weekends and evenings - lots of great people watching. We easily launched out on our daily adventures from here, and found the patio (very precious amenity!!) and cross breeze through the flat to be very nice during our warm summer stay. While the flat technically will sleep 6, our family of 4 (2 college students included) found the flat to be comfortable when we had moments of downtime. Not sure how a group of 6 would get along? (Get outside!)

We are pleased with our selection and highly recommend this location and host if you want to experience London from an insider's perspective.

Great flat & location!

We enjoyed our week and Barry is a great owner and host upon arrival. He gives guests a nice orientation tour and recommendations. Extremely helpful! The back deck is very nice. As all the other reviews have noted the flat is in a perfect location for sightseeing in London. My wife and I along with our two teenage daughter enjoyed our stay.

Great Flat, Great Location

It would be hard to be beat the location. Almost all of the main sights are within a 20 minute walk.

The flat itself was reasonably spacious for the center of London. The private garden deck gives you added space and a nice quiet place to relax after a day exploring the city.

The owner is fun, friendly, responsive and helpful.

Super location, and super thoughtful owner

The apartment was in a perfect location in London. Walking to everything of interest. Just a block from the river and a couple blocks from the metro and a hop-on/hop-off bus tour.

Barry was so kind, extremely welcoming and helpful - letting my husband (who arrived earlier because of work travel) come to the flat early, and giving him a personalized tour of the neighborhood and attractions.

The flat worked great for the six of us. My parents stayed upstairs in the bed/bath combo. My husband and I, and our two girls, were downstairs with a bed/bath and the pullout couch in the living room.

Loved the patio - so great to have an outdoor space for my girls to run around. Though it was sunny the whole time we were in London, so we probably got extra use out of it.

It was also very quiet at night! Close to a bunch of great restaurants and pubs, but you wouldn't know it after hours.

Hope to visit again soon!!!

Che scoperta! questo posto è un affare, un appartamento nella posizione perfetta e una calda accoglienza. Ho viaggiato parecchio usando VRBO e questa è stata la prima volta che qualcuno è venuto a incontrami e offerto un tour. Le sue raccomandazioni sono state molto d'aiuto ( prendere il caffè dietro l'angolo ed accettare i consigli dei proprietari sul cibo - aveva assolutamente ragione!). La posizione era semplicemente perfetta e so che quando tornerò a Londra controllerò prima se questo posto è disponibile.

Ho viaggiato da sola e mi sono sentita veramente sicura qui. Ho affittato il singolo appartamento sopra. Un bel bagno rinnovato e una bella camera da letto. Il posto è piccolo, ma funzionale per un viaggiatore singolo. La vista dal giardino è veramente un punto in più.

Di nuovo, come altri hanno scritto, la posizione non ha paragoni.

Mi piacerebbe affittare l'intero appartamento la prossima volta!

Great Stay

Our group of 4 agreed that this was the absolute ideal place to stay to enjoy London. We rented the whole flat and all of us found it very comfortable and clean. It most certainly met our expectations. We were so pleased to be met by Barry's son, who waited patiently even though we were delayed by over 2 hours. Our park like setting on the patio also added to the ambiance. It was in the heart of activities and wonderful sites as we always walk the riverwalk and the wonderful offset was it was still very much a quiet home to return to. Lots of great restaurants all very closeby and the treat of a community feeling as well. We highly recommend this property if you are considering a visit to London.

Owner's Response: Ah, my son did me proud. He is currently at LSE doing a Master's & for the first time I could not meet the guests so he did for me. Sounds like it went well. Again, wonderful guests who really seemed to take advantage of the area & did everything! Next time, we'll try something more adventurous - how about absailling from the Tate Modern into Shakespeare's Globe, catching Macbeth, then a Guiness in the Swan?
