Wow! Wow! Wow!!

Feel free to read my review, but I'll tell you right now, if this property is available for your travel dates, stop reading and book it now! Seriously, before somebody else gets it.

My wife and I have had the good fortune to travel a great deal because of my job, and I can tell you unequivocally that Fair Hill House is the nicest place we've ever stayed. It is a great value for the money! There were 8 of us on this trip and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax if we wanted, or we could all gather in the kitchen or living room to eat a meal and plan our next day. The house is very well appointed and the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. Parking is great and the location to Killarney town is phenomenal. On this point I think Eileen sells herself short. She advertises a 5 minute walk to town but it's really closer to 2 minutes. Maybe 5 minutes to dead center but 2 minutes to some wonderful pubs and restaurants.

Eileen was a pleasure to deal with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Look no further, you will not find a better accommodation. It is only a few minutes walk to downtown Killarney, but far enough a way so you can get a good night sleep. The furniture is all upscale, comfortable beds, fireplaces welcoming you in both family rooms and a spacious updated kitchen. The entire house was tastefully renovated. The owner is very friendly and professional. We were in Ireland and Scotland for a month and this was our most favorite accommodation which includes 5 star hotels. It is a home away from home and you will just love it!

Hands down, the best place to stay in Killarney!

We were blown away with this apartment! It is stunning from the moment you walk in. The rooms are spacious, kitchen well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. On top of that, you would be hard pressed to find a better location than this apartment. Extremely convenient to Killarney's City Centre, the National Park and the entirety of the Ring of Kerry.

We stayed several places during our three week holiday in Ireland and everyone agreed that we wished we had just rented this apartment for our entire trip! Look no further, this IS where you want to stay when visiting the south end of Ireland.

Absolutely loved it! Perfect location!

We absolutely loved the Fair Hill House! We were a group of 3 couples traveling together (all in our early 30's) and the house was so spacious it could have easily accommodated 3 additional adults. We loved that we each had our own bathroom. The house was immaculate and well-appointed. Eileen was a very welcoming and thoughtful host - she stocked the house with the essentials (coffee, tea, fruit, a few snacks, toiletries, bottled water, milk, power converters, hair dryers, etc.) and met us there to show us where everything was. There are two family rooms which would be perfect for families traveling with children. The location was absolutely perfect! The walk into town was maybe 2 minutes. Killarney is also a great location to explore the surrounding areas. If we make our way back to Ireland, we will definitely stay at the Fair Hill House again and we would certainly recommend it to family and friends! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Eileen!

Five of us spent four nights at the Fair Hill House. What a treat! It felt bigger than our own home and was very clean. Everyone had their own room and their own bathroom making our morning routine quite stress free. Two “living rooms” allowed the kids to have their own space. The very large kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make breakfast each morning. We loved having a pound of coffee and fruit when we arrived. We took a taxi to a local supermarket (similar to Walmart) to pickup breakfast supplies (eggs, butter) and picked up bakery at Jams and sausages and rashers at the local butcher. Beds were comfortable but we wished there were lighter blankets for “in-between” warmth (there was a sheet and very comfy comforter on each bed). The house is REALLY a two-minute walk to the train station and the city center. For teenagers, there is a mall right across the street. Eileen was very responsive when we made reservations. I never had to wait more than 24 hours to get a reply. She was out of town but provided Martin as her back up. When we couldn’t figure out the heating system and when the electric went out on one wall, he was at the house within a couple of minutes to fix us up. The city of Killarney is small but provided many good places to eat. We ate seafood at Quinlins and pub food at Murphys (had our first Guiness there). We rented a driver (Jack Hayden) Killarney Tour and Taxi) for two of the days while in Killarney to see (day one) County Cork, Cohb, the Blarney Castle and Jameson Distillery. Enjoyed the museum that highlighted the last port of call for the Titanic. Our favorite meal while in the area was at the restaurant in the Jameson Distillery. Day 2 was spent touring the Ring of Kerry. Our favorite stop (despite there being many) was a visit to a sheepherder who demonstrated how his dogs herd sheep. We also liked the tour of the bog houses (imagine living as they did) and the Skelligs Chocolate Factory. Day #3, we took a taxi back to Killarney National Park for a visit to the Muckross House and the surrounding gardens. The weather was beautiful and after the tour we hiked to the bottom of the Tosc Waterfall – beautiful. To sum it up, I would definitely recommend a trip to Killarney and a stay at the Fair Hill House.
