Lovely, fully equipped, waterfront studio cottage, with kitchen & private deck right near the water. It has fantastic views of Southwest Harbor, sunsets beyond compare and the mountains of Acadia National Park. First built as a boathouse in the 1850's on Clark Point in Southwest Harbor, the original shingle style house maintains its 19th century charm and welcoming Down east appearance. Property has been lovingly transformed over the past century into a beautiful cottage perfect for a hideaway or honeymooners.

Outside of the fact that this is one of the smallest studios we have ever stayed in. Most motel rooms are bigger than this. However, we adjusted by bringing in egg crates from the car for stroage and shelf space.

There was no strainer for pasta and there were no pot holders.

All in all, it is a great place to stay. Just not for a long time or for large people. I don't see how anyone of any size could even sit on the toliet or get around the kitchen.

That said, the view was great and it was very entertaining to watch the action in the harbor.
