Sunny, well-maintained multi-level contemporary. Great sense of space and lots of natural light. Complete privacy, located atop a small hill, in the middle of a pine stand at the end of a dirt road. Huge glass-fronted sunken living room with woodstove and cathedral ceiling. Spacious, breezy multi-windowed bedrooms (master with king, two twins each in the other two, can be joined). Elevated dining room, perfect for entertaining. Fully equipped kitchen, many new appliances. Giant DVD and video collection. TVs and media player in living room and master bedroom. Sliding glass doors off kitchen/dining room to large deck overlooking trees. Enormous windows in every room, gorgeous sunsets. E-mail for more photos.

Located at the narrowest section of the Outer Cape. Walk to nearby bay and salt marsh (dramatic sunsets), quick drive or bike ride to miles and miles of great ocean beaches. Close to the northern end of the Cape Cod Bike Trail (bikes provided), So. Wellfleet general store, fish market, restaurants, National Seashore, wildlife sanctuary, drive-in theater, flea market, tennis courts. 5 minutes to Wellfleet Center (theater, bookstores, lots of art galleries and restaurants). 15-20 mins to Provincetown (whale watching, shopping, restaurants).

A comfortable airy summer cottage

The house is light and airy, with high ceilings, interesting architecture and comfortable beds upstairs (one of the twins downstairs is very soft).
The owners were very responsive and responsible about fixing any problems that came up during the summer. The setting is lovely--extremely private, with a large deck overlooking woods and lots of wooded frontage between the cottage and the few other houses on the road. Location is wonderful--a short bike or car ride from Marconi Beach, and to the village. The house was clean and well equipped, and has a remarkable library of DVD's and videos. The pellet wood stove was welcome during the chllly June evenings this year. My dog and I--as well as frequent visitors--thoroughly enjoyed our summer ion Harvard Street!

Long Weekend

We stayed at the house over Labor Day weekend. Perfect end to the summer. We had gorgous weather, easy hop to the town beach for walking and kite flying and to Nickerson Pond for picknicking and boating. The fish market by the pier is heaven- spoils you for fish back home. I enjoyed the quirky archtectural details, interesting not your typical rental decor and quet woodland location. Garden? not so much. We were joined for an overnight by young film buffs- something in the collection for everyone.

I'm finicky. The property was surface clean but could use some end of the seasons touch ups, the walls spot painted, carpet and comforters cleaned, pillows replaced, stove thoroughly cleaned. We brought our own linens, quilts, pillows, towels and some cookware and storage containers and serving dishes- glad we did. We ended up renting bikes, my husband found the chains on the supplied bikes rusty. We're semi-serious bike riders and I'm a serious cook, for casual use would be adequate.

We'd rent back and would rcommend propety to friends, good deal for a rental beach house but not as sparkling as one might suppose from the pictures.
Owner's Response: This renter requested an early arrival, which interfered with the schedule of the cleaning service, and opted not to pay a full cleaning fee.

We just returned from our too short stay in this very lovely house.We are a family of 5 and a small dog, and found the house to be perfect for our needs.
The many windows make the house light, bright and breezy. There is a very welcoming feel to it and it is stocked with just about anything you might need. The house was remarkable for being VERY clean and in good repair - just put on our sheets and blankets and it felt like home.
We loved the privacy, location and simple, fun decor!
Thanks to Dennis and John for offering such a nice environment for people to borrow !!
We hope to spend more time there in the future!!

My husband and I spent two weeks in this
wonderful house with our two teen boys and
our English Bulldog. We all found it
spacious, airy, relaxing - so quiet in the pine
woods! We loved the location, the birds, the
breeze. We were also so pleased with the
amenities - w/d, dishwasher - all the great
kitchen equipment - the bikes - the outdoor
shower-- all of this just made vacation so
easy!!!
