Vermont at its biggest and most spacious. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from Lake Elmore, this 4,500 square-foot estate is ideal for large group getaways, reunions or multi-family vacations. Remodeled in 1996, the retreat’s 7 separate bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 5 showers and 3 bath tubs, 2 large open kitchens accommodate up to 17 people, without sacrificing comfort or privacy. Boat, swim, kayak, or canoe on Lake Elmore. Climb or mountain bike Mt. Elmore. Or take in the clean air, blue skies, and perfect climate with a bike ride, walk or jog down country roads. Toss horseshoes, play ping-pong, badminton, volleyball, or try a game of croquet on one of three terraced lawns. The gear is all there, waiting to be enjoyed. Bring the well-behaved dog. 20 minutes from Stowe or Montpelier. Partially handicap accessible. *** Other than on holidays, the main house can be rented, or the Carriage house without the other. Though the retreat is rural a good hospital and (2)supermarkets are minutes away. Burlington International Airport is 55 miles away with non-stop flights to New York, Boston, DC, and Chicago.

Ski the slopes, read a book by the fire or watch your favorite team(win) a ball game on one of 4 Direct TVs. It's all here at the retreat in northern Vermont

Rural but near Shopping, antiques, movies: Equal distance (19miles) from great shopping and antiquing in either Montpelier or Stowe. Just 55 minutes to Burlington, which may be the best little city in America. There are 9 movie screens with 20 minutes of the retreat

Bring the dog: This is a dog friendly place. They love to race in the snow-and make you catch them. As long as the dog is well behaved, he/she is welcome.

Other Activities: All winter sports.
