Father Pio`s House is a fascinating old building, full of charm and character. The elegant front façade dates from the 18th century; other parts are much older. The rooms in the main house are large and spacious with high ceilings and marble floors. They are attractively and comfortably decorated with antique furniture and pictures. The pretty walled gardens provide cool, shady sitting out areas and there is plenty of room for sunbathing around the pool. A small cottage at the far end of the garden with two twin bedrooms may be available on request at an extra charge, only to guests using the Main House.

Location: Malta

Zebbug is one of the oldest villages in Malta and has remained unspoilt. The house is just off the main square, which has a magnificent parish church and daily market. All necessary shops are within walking distance and there is a small pizza/ pasta restaurant in the square. Situated near the centre of the Island, Zebbug is a good base from which to explore Malta. It is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and from the capital, Valletta. Car hire is reasonable and recommended as there are many good restaurants, places of historic interest, sandy beaches and facilities for all watersports nearby.

Beautiful Property - Well worth a vist

We have just got back from visiting this property with 7 others, including 2 small children - and we loved it. The photos on this website seriously do not do it justice, it is beautiful, the pool is fantastic, (and gets the sun all day), the bedrooms are massive, bathrooms clean (if a little dated). The house is huge, with room going off room, it is steeped in history, and is fantastic, one of the best bits was the massive marble staircase in the living room - amazing!

We were there for a week and could have stayed longer. The house isn't in a touristy area, but everything is in walking distance, 5 mins to bakery, supermarket, local restaurant, daily fruit and veg market in the town square. The house manager is really good, responding to all my emails pre-trip, even getting our first grocery shop in for when we arrived. He organised everything, and put alot of faith in me with our requirements etc. Nothing was too much trouble.

We did not hire a car but used taxi's for our occassional trip out, and nothing is too far away for visiting the touristy areas, - you can even get the bus to valletta for just 50cents, taking about 20 mins. It is ideally located.

I would definately recommend this house for those travelling with a larger family, or groups of friends who are after a quieter holiday.
