Overview

West Kensington Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is sleek and bright, with a wide roof terrace

Points of view

Along a quiet West Kensington side street, Addison Gardens III is a vision in Victorian red brick. But that’s not the only way this home impresses. Set across the top two floors, the interiors are all white walls, contemporary furnishings and clean lines. And if you follow the wood-and-glass panelled staircase to the top, there’s a scenic surprise: a roof terrace and sitting room that flow one into the other. Having browsed nearby Westfield’s wares and the chic bars and eateries, here you can contemplate the chimney pots from the comfort of the azure sofa.

On the lookout

Your host lives in Canada. And though he only visits London for a few days a month, he could hardly wish for a better vantage point.

Ways of seeing

Under its traditional skin, this is a modern home. The palette is refreshing, and necks will crane at the awesome views from the terrace. Up in the eaves, the kitchen’s cupboards make clever use of space, while the dining table sits bright and round beside a slanting window.

Having folded back the patio doors, you might relax at the barbecue. Or head back down to the hushed, high-spec bedrooms. With surround sound even in the bathrooms, it’s not just this home’s views that travel in every direction.

About Owner/Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose West Kensington

Introducing West Kensington

West Kensington, with Fulham to the south and Shepherd's Bush to the north, carries the London postcode of W14. But walking down the streets stretching behind the Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition hubs this could translate into ‘Wanderlust 14’.

This is a globetrotting enclave, with Aussies and Kiwis cheerfully fusing with European entrepreneurs' families (there are Spanish and French private schools in nearby Brook Green), and an international cadre of students.

A creatively tolerant climate reigns, exemplified in the refurbed warehouses of Kensington Village, now housing major media companies like RDF Media and Archant. A favourite local watering-hole is vintage tea room Betty Blythe, with owner Lulu Gwynne pouring an excellent cup of Darjeeling and serving bijoux cupcakes (a dressing-up box is available for those really wanting to get into the 1920s spirit).

The Cumberland Arms also pours a fine glass of pinot noir for the young professionals occupying the imposing turn-of-the-century mansion blocks that set the course for this forward-thinking polyglot neighbourhood which continues anon.

What makes this apartment unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
