My wife and I spent three wonderful weeks in this small and quaint studio guesthouse, literally steps from one of the most beautiful and calm-water beaches in all of Barbados, Brighton Beach. This studio is conveniently located not far from a large and well-stocked supermarket. No car? No problem. The owner is such a wonderful man that he'll even take you to either a nearby ATM machine or to this supermarket, as he happily did for us several times during our stay. Sunsets? Magnificent! Especially sitting on a lawn chair just off the beach with rum drink in hand and munchies to eat. This place is sufficiently AC-ed and is PERFECT for two adults (only)...you know the saying: "three's a crowd." The back patio of covered and offers privacy.....I was even able to slip out of my wet bathing suit just by the back patio door so I didn't have to get the tiled flooring wet. Of course, my wife is more discrete.
We're looking forward to a return visit. This place offers it all....excellent nightly price, privacy, beautiful beach, magnificent sunsets, multi-station satellite TV and free internet wi-fi connection.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Romantic Getaway

A cozy, comfy little place

We have stayed in this cute little cottage several times now and it is just perfect for us. Barbados weather is so wonderful that we are hardly ever in the cottage except to sleep, shower and cook! So even though the place is small, the patio, yard and beach are all part of the "living" accommodations. The cottage is well equipped and the owners are quick to respond to any need. There are no nicer or more helpful landlords in Barbados, I promise you! I would not consider the cottage handicapped accessible but I would consider it handicapped "friendly". No steps to get into it, one small step down to the patio, and if I remember correctly, just two steps to the path to the beach. We have been staying at "Sandbox" for 5 years --next February will be our 6th and "God Willing" there will be many more! If you want more info on the neighborhood read my review on their 2 bedroom, two bath apt.
