A luxury 3 large bedroom villa with own private heated 9M pool in a delightful and elevated position with sea views from all of the principal rooms on the stunning south west coast of Fuerteventura situated in the charming village of La Pared 5 minutes from Costa Calma.

La Pared has 2 excellent restaurants and a friendly bar and the beach is half a mile away from the Villa

On the ground floor there is a large open plan lounge with TV with Full SKY package -Sports, Entertainment, Movies, Documentaries etc. (No BBC or ITV we are too far south) DVD Player, Playstation II, dining area and kitchen which is fully fitted with Dishwasher, Electric Hob, Oven, Microwave oven, Washing machine, and 2 Fridges. All of this overlooks the very large Patio area with stairs down to your pool.

Also on the ground floor there are two double bedrooms, one with direct access to the patio area; and a full bathroom. The master bedroom suite is located on the first floor with the largest bedroom a separate bathroom and a very large balcony (20’x14’) overlooking the patio and pool area and views down to the sea.

As the Villa is South West Facing it gets a lot of sun on it and benefits from fantastic sunset views. The interior through clever design remains cool and comfortable. Both the master bedroom and lounge have ceiling fans incorporated in to the light fittings and bedroom 2 & 3 have free standing electric fans.

As I have been asked on a number of occasions I would confirm that the villa is in a very secluded and private position being higher than all of the neighbouring properties bar two which are privately owned properties (owned by Spanish families who live on the mainland and who only visit at Christmas and once or twice in the year maximum) and their villas are not let out.

In addition the villa is let only to one group at a time, the pool is private to the villa only and no one lives in any attached properties (i.e. owners accommodation). The Pool can be heated (Electric not solar) at an extra cost as per below.

We decided to buy a property abroad when we had the money to do this and because we are able to get away a fair amount of time each year, but as we cannot be there all the time we let out the villa when we are not there.

The Owner purchased this villa in 2005

We bought Casa Feliz as we had visited the south of Fuerteventura on numerous holidays and stayed in Costa Calma and Jandia areas, but we wanted something a bit quieter for our holidays so we bought in La Pared as it is only 5km from Costa Calma but a very small and friendly village with very few holiday homes and mostly privately owned properties with stunning views to the west.

Every room looks out to the sea except bedroom 3 which faces the mountains, the sunsets are the most spectacular and sitting in the warmth watching the sun set after another peaceful and relaxing day is just what we wanted.

The villa is our private home and we let it out when we cannot use it, it is fully equipped and we make sure that on arrival there are all the basic necessities there already.

So all you have to do is come here and relax.

Nice villa -bad environment

The villa was exact as we imagined but the environment was rather dull with most empty houses and overfilled dustbins, broken streetlighting etc.
We were surprised that the little shop had a lot of goods as bread, wine etc.
Once again, the villa was just OK with a lovely seeview and a small pool as we didn´t use because we had rather cold weather.
Owner's Response: Hi, I am glad you liked the villa and I am sorry the weather was bad (something we cannot control), I note you say the villa was OK and many guests tell us it is very nice so if you would like to let us know what we could do to improve the villa we will take that on board. As for the town we do state it is not a resort and the worldwide recession has hit the villages in the Canary Islands very badly and there is an unemployment rate of over 25% so it is difficult for many to maintain their properties. The 2 restaurants are both very good and the mini-mart does stock a very good range of foods and things as it provides for the locals and those who visit La Pared.

First Class Villa

Besides the fact that Casa Feliz is an absolutely delightful property, equipped with every conceivable creature comfort you can think of, Alan himself was a total gentleman to deal with, unhesitant in contacting via phone instead of email for a personal touch right at the outset. He cares, pure and simple. A bottle of fizz and a personal greeting card on arrival was a lovely touch.
Back to the property itself. Stunning sunsets from multiple terraces equipped with more loungers than you could ever need, a proper Weber barbie poolside, beautifully made beds on arrival, equally large bedrooms, big homely bathrooms on each floor and a big open plan kitchen/living room mean this would be a perfect villa for a large family........how spoilt were we as a couple!
In all seriousness, Alan has obviously kitted the villa out with quality fixtures and fittings, striking artwork and has provided every little item even down to plug adaptors. He is obviously more trusting than most as it really feels like a home from home and his property should therefore be appreciated not abused.
Being 'allergic' to crowds we loved the location. A short drive from the famed beaches of the East coast, and yet out of the tourist filled resorts. Perfect!
With a couple of nice restaurants (fantastic views at sunset) and a handy convenience store (fresh bread daily and a nice deli counter) within strolling distance, La Pared is perfect for those looking for their own space and time to relax and chill out with no drunken tourists, no dodgy buffets and no stress.
Would return in a heartbeat.

Great Villa in Quiet Location

We've just returned from a very enjoyable week at Casa Feliz. The villa is perfect in that it is not in a tourist resort but the village has 2 excellent restaurants (El Camello, Bahia Mar) and a short drive to another (Mirador de Sotavento). We ate at all of these, Camello twice, and they were very good. The nights we cooked in the villa we found everything we needed The whole villa is really well equipped. It was good to find the basics (water, milk, tea, coffee, beer, also oil and condiments) in the fridge and cupboards. Also nice to have access to clean towels, This is our 3rd visit to Fuerteventura and this is our favourite villa. We also prefer the south of the Island. Morro Jable we found nicer than Costa Calma but to be honest the beach was crowded. It was much nicer down at La Pared beach which was almost deserted. The Barlovento coast, whilst not great for swimming, has spectacular sunsets, lovely on the terrace or balcony with a chilled rioja blanco. Also we enjoyed spending time on the headland near Bahia Mar watching the huge waves roll in and hit the rocks, sending huge spumes of spray some 15/20 feet into the air. This is a grear villa if you want peace and quiet and something different to a tourist resort, but yet not too isolated. Pedro is very friendly and helpful, also Michael who looks after the pool.

La Pared is a beautiful village situated between the mountains and a national nature reserve area. The village faces due west and offers sunny days; spectacular sun sets and star lit nights (you have never seen so many stars!)

The village of La Pared is situated on the south west coast of Fuerteventura 6 km from the larger resort of Costa Calma. Unknown to many, the south of the island is far quieter and far less developed than the north. It offers the discerning traveller the opportunity to get away from the crowds and actually see local life as it is rather than being influenced by the commercialism prevalent in some resorts in the north of the island. The Village is a 45-50 minute drive from the airport and does truly offer the opportunity for you to base yourself to travel and explore this beautiful and unspoilt island, especially the south.

Within the village there are two excellent restaurants (La Bahia & El Camello), a friendly bar (Tina’s) and short golf course with practice range, and 2 surf schools for the more adventurous.

Access to a selection of almost private beaches (never more than 10-20 people there) is via a dirt road at the end of the village but very worthwhile for those who seek privacy and isolation. The only other regular users of the beaches are the surfers. Please note that La Pared beach/sea has strong currents and care should be taken when surfing and or swimming here.

There are also plenty of excellent calmer sea beaches at Costa Calma only 5 minutes drive away.

There are plenty of shops for all your needs and supermarkets in Costa Calma and the town hosts a street market on Sundays and Wednesdays for the buying of local craft goods and gift items.

Nearby to the Villa there are many other activities available such as horse riding, quad bikes, cycle hire, wind surfing, kite boarding etc and in late July each year the beaches of Sotovento just south (1km) of Costa Calma hosts the World Wind Surfing championships. There also an abundance of large and small more private beaches within a very small drive of the villa. Please be aware that many of these beaches allow both topless and nude sunbathing.

As well as the short golf course in La Pared there is a brand new professional 18 hole course just opened in Las Playitas (20mins by car) and in Costa Colletta (45mins drive) there are 2 courses, one which hosted the 2004 Spanish Open and next door there is a second excellent course. All of these courses have excellent club house facilities attached to them and club hire is available.

The local resorts and towns such as Jandia, More Jable, Corfette, Gran Tarajal and La Lajita (with an excellent botanical garden, zoo, aviary and camel rides etc within 10km) are all worthy of a visit with many fine local tavernas and restaurants with friendly locals.

Due to the location and to enjoy the surrounding areas car hire is essential here. As the Island is part of Spain, driving is on the right but there are NO traffic lights.

    All rental bookings are taken on the basis of a 50% deposit paid at time of booking and then the balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival at the villa. On short notice / last minute bookings 100% payment must be made at the time of booking

    In addition to the villa rental price there is a fee of 90€ payable locally on arrival to cover the cost for meeting you at the villa on arrival and cleaning prior to arrival and on departure.

    If you want the pool to be heated there is an additional charge of £95 per week (that is what it costs to heat in the winter- there is little need in the summer)

    Check out time is 10.00 with arrivals after 15.00 (if there is no previous or following booking, then with prior agreement an earlier arrival or later checkout can be arranged at our discre
  • On all cancellations if there are at least 12 weeks notice then half of the deposit will be returned
    If there are less than 12 weeks notice given then the deposit will be lost
    If less than 8 weeks notice then final balance is due regardless or unless the property is re-let to another tenant.
    Payment must be made by Bank Transfer with booking to reserve dates
    PayPal can be used but there is a 5%surcharge to cover the PayPal fees.

    Change over days are Saturdays in High season and by agreement in low season.
