Great location; unit should be cleaner

The owner is very nice and great to work with. He was very responsive before and during our stay. The location is perfect if you want to be near the center of town. The walk to the Boatslip was easily a short 5 minutes. The layout of the unit is unique, but in a weird way, kinda works.
I had a couple complaints. First, the unit was quite dirty and could stand a full refresh. The walls and floors seemed dirty. The bed in the bedroom I was in had a significant amount of buildup of dust and other people's body hair along the top edge of the box spring which was very unsettling. There were no utensils for the grill, and the grill is literally in dirt - so don't wear shoes you want to keep clean while using it.
I would recommend this place or stay here again, if I knew it was clean. If not, and cleanliness is as important to you as it is to me, I would avoid it.
Owner's Response: I am a surprised by this negative review for a few reasons.
First of all, i live just next to the townhouse and was in contact with the renters while they were there. I was never told that the townhouse needed more cleaning. If i was, i would of had the cleaning person go right over. I am also surprised about the comments on the walls as most of the apartment was just painted.
As for the grill i will buy new utensils and the grill will be moved back on to the grass.
I have been renting 5 places in Provincetown for about 10 years and do want my renters to be happy and become repeat guests.
