YOU WILL WANT TO RETURN ....

  • 5 of 5
It's difficult to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay at Featherknowl. Our party consisted of a group of 50 year olds who have kept in touch since school and wanted a reunion. Featherknowl was ideal - a short drive to Ludlow town centre and not far from the main road, but you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. We drove into Ludlow a couple of times and stocked up on food and spent many happy hours reminiscing in the comfort and warmth (the Rayburn was marvellous!) of the beautiful big old house. We could play our old 70's cd's without disturbing anyone and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We awoke on Sunday morning to a crisp frost that made the surrounding countryside look beautiful, so off we went for a walk. There is something about Featherknowl that stays with you long after you've left - maybe yearning for a bygone time or a slower pace - either way, I hope I get the chance to go back again sometime.

LOVELY HOUSE AND LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
Feather Knowl cottage is an enormous house set in a wonderful garden just a few miles outside of Ludlow with magnificent views of the Shropshire hills. The house is old fashioned but comfortable, using the Rayburn took a little practice! With lovely scenery and Ironbtidge gorge with 10 museums to visit there is plenty to do and see for all ages in Shropshire and if you just wanted to sit and read in the summer house in the garden you could!

SUPER WEEKEND

  • 4 of 5
This is an amazing house in a superb location, steeped in originality and ideally suited for a big family occasion. Rooms are large with glorious views from every window and massive garden areas, ideal for the younger members of the party. The tree platform and rope/tyre swing were particularly appreciated.
We were there to celebrate a 40th and a 70th birthday and the weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all members of the family, so much so that we are still talking about it.

WONDERFUL HOUSE!

  • 5 of 5
A beautiful house, wonderfully secluded, with lots of room for the kids and dog to run around! Huge rooms and really special views over the beautiful farmland. You really feel as if you are getting away from it all, but not so much that it feels isloated.

Ludlow is a lovely market town, lots of great food shops and resturants, we also enjoyed the Ludlow food market. There's lots to do locally, and the house makes a great base for exploring the countryside.
