Flea market. 20 minute drive to Provincetown with airport and high speed ferry to Boston. Whale watches, schooner sailing, restaurants, galleries, museums, shopping, people watching. Biking through the Provincetown dunes at Race Point.

My husband and I rented this beautiful house for one week last summer, and look forward to returning this year. It is sunny, clean, comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated, with plenty of room for guests. Our teenage daughters and their friends loved it as much as we did (no small feat!) and so did my father and other friends who stopped in to visit. The house is perfectly situated: walking distance to everything in the town of Wellfleet, biking or driving to great beaches on the ocean or sound. Although it is an easy walk to several good restaurants, we usually chose to cook out on the large back porch overlooking the harbour. The kitchen is well equipped, and there's a big dining table (indoors) overlooking the porch. A great house for entertaining, or just hanging out with a paperback, curled up on the couch.

This house is conveniently located in
town, walking distance to everything;
the harbor, the shops. The house
itself is quite charming with colorful
details, comfortable furniture, well
appointed kitchen and lots of
bathrooms. I was delighted at the
plentitude of hot water (great for lots
of showers- inside or out). The
rooms are airy and spacious and the
view to die for. We had a great time in
both visits, autumn and winter.

This rental in Wellfleet is a real find. An excellent value too! The open space feel, large fireplaces, full kitchen and modern baths provide all of the accoutrements one needs. The antique feel, wide-plank floors, etc., provide all of the charm one needs. Finally, it's central location, right on the water, near P-town, etc., is perfect. There is nothing not to like here.

My only concern is that the owners will realize they aren't charging what they could get for this gem and the prices will go up. I suggest you give it a try before that happens.

Laughter filled the beautiful house as
we prepared dinner
two generations,eight people;
slowing our collective heartbeat in
Tranquil Wellfleet....
