FOUR - FIVE STAR RATING: We enjoyed staying here as the location was perfect perfect perfect!! It was very roomy and air-conditioning worked well. Don't expect this to be like a hotel though (one towel & toilet paper) as this is a place to stay with the best best best view!
FOUR STAR RATING: We loved having the kitchen although we did not cook or use the dishwasher. We just made coffee in the morning and bought our food locally.
ONE -TWO STAR RATING: The WIFI in this unit was very slow so don't expect to use it! Firenze has free WIFI spots all over though. The TV does not work as no cable/satellite equipment is hooked up to it, just disconnected cables below. The balcony furniture needs attention too as its weathered.
TWO STARS: The showers were in need of attention as the drains were slow (very slow) and shower heads need a little attention as they are plugged up a little too.
The couch needs to be steam cleaned as it was covered with white covers but were very soiled so we layed a towel on them before we sat down.
ONE STAR RATING: We also were a little nervous as another reviewer stated about our $500 deposit we placed down ( In cash on the first day with Lorenzo with no receipt). The care keeper Lorenzo spoke no english and was difficult to communicate with. He was a nice gentleman but the day we checked out he went to the master bedroom where there is a sliding wall unit for clothes and the doors did not move. We used the right side to hang our clothes and store our belongings. we never used the other side because doors did not slide. The day we checked out Lorenzo went right into the bedroom and tried the sliding doors which made me suspicious that he knew the doors did not slide. Also in the other bedroom there was an ironing board in the closet which we did not use. Lorenzo questioned the whereabouts of an iron which we had no idea that there was supposed to be one. I felt Lorenzo was trying to find a way to keep some or all of our deposit.
FOUR STAR RATING: I did talk to the owner on the phone Cristano, who did eventually tell Lorenzo to give our full deposit back after I explained to him we did not cause any damage to his unit or take his iron.
We would probably stay there again because of the great view and location. The apartment needs attention though to make it five stars! The balcony is huge and the best best view!! The bedrooms have a great view too with a full glass door and you can walk right onto the balcony.
Modern apartment in a fantastic location with what must be the best roof terrace in Florence. The terrace is huge and it gets the sun all day. Lovely place to have your breakfast and watch the morning rowers go by or have an evening drink as the sun sets. The apartment itself is very spacious with a modern kitchen and well laid out communal area. The location is wonderful as you are so central and yet you aren't surrounded by hordes of loud tourists the second you step out of your front door. Would definitely stay here again.
The photos of this apartment are not representative of it's current appearance. The owner is difficult to work with and the apartment is not maintained. Such a shame because the location and view are great.
This was by far our favourite apartment during our month long European vacation. The views are spectacular, the balcony is amazing and the apartment is very well appointed and centrally located. We walked everywhere in Florence from here and spent amazing evenings dining on the balcony while we sipped the local wine. The evening view with the lights of Florence shining on the river were beautiful as well. The bedrooms are great and the closets are very spacious. Lorenzo, the caretaker does not speak English but we did manage to communicate quite well through hand signals and the little Italian I could pick up from iTranslate. If you need a hair dryer, make sure that you confirm that it has been replaced. There wasn't one when we arrived so it either broke or someone may have left with it. Communication was a little difficult through email as English is clearly a second language for the owner and so I wasn't always sure what he was saying and he wasn't always sure what I was asking. Also, make sure that you confirm how and when the damage deposit will be returned. There was some confusion with it and it took quite a while for us to get it back which was a little stressful although it was returned. Saying that, this apartment was worth it.
Very happy with our stay in this apt. Highly recommend this place. Don't be put off by owners disorganization with contracts and baroness with collecting money. All turned out OK. Ask for soap in bathrooms and extra towels - a bit sparse on some of the niceties. But beautiful apt and amazing location.
We just came back from Italy, We stayed in this Villa the first four nights of our trip. It was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. It is spacious and well decorated. the breakfasts and sunsets on the terrace are unbeatable. It is located directly on the river in the center of town. You can walk to anything within 10 minutes. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone in the market for a 2 bedroom. The service and communication were excellent.
