Sorry for not replying sooner. We had a great time at the apartment. Spent most of our time on the beach or on the terrace just chilling. The flat was great.

If you are looking for a holiday apartment in an interesting part of Spain which is close to the sea, has amazing views and close to the wonderful city of Cartagena - this is it.
Juliet is a joy to talk to and she will do everything she can to make your stay a pleasant one.
We hired a car which we feel is a must if you want to explore the area at your own pace. There are some very interesting nature reserves within 30 minutes and remember to take your binoculars. We used ours, from the apartment balcony, to watch the flamingos and avocets flying in for their daily feed in the Salinas.
Whilst, at this time of year Playa Paraiso is quiet, it's only 20 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes from Cabo De Palos, which is a nice place to visit with a good choice of restaurants and walks around the marina and bay.
The La Manga strip, which is clearly visible, from the apartment balcony is also worth exploring. The bridge at the end is better than a fair ground ride....
There is so much more for us to explore and we look forward to our next Spanish holiday..
The property was in a superb location. It could not have been closer to the sea and there was a first class promenade. The property was compact, very clean, comfortable and convenient with a sunny balcony where we loved to have breakfast. The people who look after the property could not have been more helpful. We did not hire a car so it was great to have a selection of restaurants and beach cafes in walking distance, The bus to Cartagena stopped within walking distance so getting about was no problem. Local taxis were also very good. I would recommend this property.
When booking this apartment, and has we never had been at La Manga, we were anxious to discover it but without expectations.
We were pleseantly surprised.
A beautiful apartment, with stunning view over Playa Parayso and La Manga (short drive away), with great conditions for the perfect stay.
Juliet is amazing, and even not being at the local, she was always 'present'.
Even sent us a full 'travelers guide' to La Manga, that helped a lot knowing the area.
A special thank you to Debbie that welcomed us with a huge smile, and done all the honours.
We couldn't have asked for more.
Looking forward for next year's vacations: La Manga and Juliet will be our reference!!
PS: Can't forget to mention the lights in the balcony, exactly as in the photo, perfect for a glass of wine, with the perfect company and a beautiful view!
A lovely positioned apartment with stunning views overlooking the La Manga strip. It was very airy and clean with plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen was very well stocked albeit a tad small but how much time do you want to spend in the kitchen when you are on holiday!! Fabulous beach with convenient bars! Very safe swimming for all age groups. There are a huge selection of cafes & restaurants to eat, some more expensive than others but you only get what you pay for. There is also a well stocked supermarket within a few minutes walk. A car isn't essential, however having one definitely made access to other places much easier. Taxis are available locally. If interested, any activity or sport can be achieved. If street markets are your thing, then do some internet research regarding days and local locations. Having wifi was a great bonus. Overall a great place and definitely looking forward to returning in the future. A must recommendation.
Organizing our stay couldn't have been any easier. Juliet's infectious enthusiasm for the apartment is exactly what you want when looking for a place to stay - especially when you're like us and are completely naive to Murcia, let alone, Spain! I was on a business trip/personal holiday of sorts over the course of 5 weeks throughout both the UK and Spain. During this time, I stayed in 16 places (hotels, serviced apartments, condos, and with friends). I can confidently say that Juliet's attentiveness plus Debbie"s (the English caretaker) recommendations for the area, made for a fantastic stay. Working with Juliet prior to and during our stay was a pleasure - she was willing to be flexible with the term (we were unsure as to how long we could stay), and kept sending lists of things to do in Murcia around the apt without me even asking! Just someone sharing her passion for the location. What more could you want!
It was very reassuring to know that if one were to experience any issue/problem, Debbie would respond swiftly, as she lives just a few minutes away.
We enjoyed walking along the coast of the bay, and dined many times at Danny's, the beach bar/cafe located right where you enter the bay beach - just a few meters from the building's front door. The water was warm and felt great. Just a 5 minute drive to La Manga strip (the Med side), had many choices for dining, which we really enjoyed. The tapas there was delicious. It was nice to interact with the many English folk there, but I especially enjoyed the friendly and laid back native people. They really love when you speak the language (it's amazing how fast I picked it up - hadn't had a lesson in years!)
I recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from all the noise and commotion. This place is made for you to kick back, relax, and take it slow. We really loved the drive down from Barcelona too - beautiful land and seascapes all the way.
If you inquire about the apartment and speak with Juliet, you can expect the most pleasurable of experiences, as it is clear that her tenants are more important than anything else.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Lovely, bright, clean, tastefully furnished apartment with fantastic views over the Mar Menor bay, beach, and towards La Manga. We could even see the Mediteranean Sea as well from the balcony. Was fab to sit up in bed and look straight at all that blue.
Had some good value 3 course meals out, complete with wine and coffee for 8 euros per head, and also enjoyed breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine, even though it was April.
Tried to burn off the calories at the newly opened Club Deportivo just a short walk, by playing tennis, court hire good value at 4.50 euros per hour.
The gym was well equipped too.
Was great to be able to walk straight out onto the beach, and my skin felt amazing from all the minerals from all the shellfish in the waters there.
Well-stocked smallish supermarket, some cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk. Had a fabulous meal at Malvasia restaurant, the owner is a Master of Wine. Its just behind the supermarket. Pleasant drive to visit the ancient city of Murcia, and then to Bullas, one of the wine producing areas. Mostly we loved the novelty of taking the bus to La Manga, and having a calm, warm, sea on one side of the road, and eating outdoors to the sound and sight of the waves at Borsalino French restaurant. Magic!
Playa Paraiso is conveniently located for daily markets, Inexpensive sports center, international standard golf, tennis, spa and gym. A marine reserve offers scuba lessons + varied marine life and shipwrecks.
These and the bright lights are all 5 minutes drive away. Also nearby are riding, waterskiing, sail, kite & windsurf schools,a big go-cart track and fishing trips. Our view is directly onto the Mar Menor sea, with its warm, shallow waters (up to 30º in summer). The mineral-rich, high-saline waters alleviate arthritis and skin conditions, promote post-operative healing, and are also perfect for swimmers and young children. A sports centre is a few minutes walk. Cartagena and Murcia offer culture, entertainment and shopping .Playa Honda with its beach bar, bus, supermarket and restaurants is a couple of minutes stroll..The protected virgin beaches of Calblanque are a few minutes away. Bicycles can be hired. You can dine on the beach to the sound of the waves overlooking the Med, or try paragliding. The seafood is outstanding. Murcia airport only 20 minutes away, and Alicante an hour..
Cafes, restaurants, chiringuitos, beach bars, supermarket and sports centre are just a few minutes walk.
Other Activities: go carts, kite surfing, casino, spa, canooing, arthritis/psoriasis treatments bowling, sailing, riding.
Golf: Although situated on the beach, we are just 5 minutes drive from the La Manga Golf and Sports club. Its 3 x 18 hole courses often host the Open. There's also pitch and putt, numerous other sports, spa, restaurants and Casino. Its open all year round to the public, but is expensive to stay there. We are also within driving distance of several other courses (please ask us for details).
For non-golfing moments or family members, there's so much else on offer; from nature reserve beaches, sand dunes and trails to walk, cycle or ride, to city sophistication. Drive 5 minutes to The Strip for the beaches, bars and restaurants of the Mediterranean side, then cross over the road to the Mar Menor - like a healing, warm bath in the summer.
Both our apartments can sleep 6, and we are happy to accommodate stays of less than a week. Car hire or chauffering can be arranged. The golf courses of Vilamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Finca and Altoreal are also under 45 minutes drive. We are well-situated for the annual international festivals: Mar de Musicas, Jazz, Flamenco, Romans and Carthaginians, and Semana Santa, as well as important archeological permanent exhibitions. And, as mentioned, the La Manga Strip, approximately 23 km long, offers nearly 46 km of beaches and designated cycle tracks, plus eating, drinking and shopping.
