This is really a holiday for every generation of the family, but also good for romantic breaks too. l'appartement et propre et très bien équipé, la vue du balcon est superbe.
The appartments was real nice! and clean, home appliances is good.. They got everything you need for comfortable vacation. Gorgeous sea view from terrace! Always got parking place. We spent unforgettable vacations at La manga and we hightly reccomend this place and this appartments. Thank you Juliet for a nice stand. we was there for 12 days. It was also a werry nice lady Debby ho was taking good care aboute us.Juliet(the owner) was in contakt with us all the time and did ewerything for us. Im for sure to use Juliet again for my nexst trip to Spain. If we can find some thing negative it can only be that some of kithen tools can be replace.Ewery mornig we went to the local shop and get warm bread(1 min to walk) the beath is so nice and big. and werry safe for the kids.
Fantastic views of the beach, the bay of the Mar Menor, and the Salinas hit you as soon as you enter the apartment. We could even see the beach and the sea sitting up in bed! Juliet the owner was very helpful, and the apartment was very clean and well equippped, suitable for families, friends, and also a romantic space for a couple. We especially loved the lighting of the balcony, living room and the bedroom we slept in, and the whole apartment was tastefully furnished.
It was amazing to see the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the Mar Menor and at night-time to sit out and watch the lights twinkle along the bay.
Last time we stayed here with another couple, and the concierge was happy to make the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom into a double bed for us.We hired bicycles and rode the cycle path that runs down the Strip, and enjoyed the contrast of the waves of the Med with the calm smoothness of the Mar Menor.
Restaurants at Cabo de Palos, five minutes away are plentiful and varied, and we have never been to such a big street market as the one they have there on a Sunday morning.
Cartagena's Roman Amphitheatre is a great place to visit for some culture, finishing with some serious shopping. Nice restaurants around the Marina too. Plenty of villages a few minutes drive.
The Mar Menor was amazing, warm, and fantastic for floating and swimming because its more salty than the Mediterannean, and plenty of shallows for children. Its a bit like a more subtle version of the Dead Sea, the minerals made our skin soft as a baby's!
The local supermarket and some restaurants and cafes and chiringuitos were just a few minutes walk, and it was so good be right on the beach. We didn't bother with the swimming pools as the Mar Menor was so amazing, but were impressed with how clean they looked, and safe for children. We intended to try pilates and the gym at the newly built sports centre a few minutes walk away, but got too relaxed! Next time we may bring our tennis rackets. Definitely intend to come back.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the 2nd floor apartment for 2 nights and used the apartment as a base to explore the area by bicycle. Juliet was very helpful, especially as we booked at the last minute, and gave us some good tips on where to go.
The apartment was very clean and quiet and has lovely views from the balcony over La Manga and the Mar Menor. The beach at Calblaque national park is definitely worth a visit if you want to see an unspoilt, uncommercialised stretch of coast.
May was definitely a great time to visit the area: none of the crowds of July and August but lovely sunny, hot days! The sea is still on the cool side but the Mar Menor is a perfect temperature for swimming. The only down side was not all the restaurants and bars were open yet, but that didn't mean there was a shortage of places to eat out. Cabo de Palos was probably our favourite dinner location.
Would defintely recommend the apartment if you are thinking of staying in this area of Spain.
We are a family of 4 with two teenage children and stayed in the 2nd floor apartment of this modern block. The apartment was very clean and provided a great base to explore the area around the Mar Menor. The children did a sailing course at Mar de Cristal, scuba diving at Cabo de Palos, waterskiing at Cavanna Beach and played tennis at the new sports centre a short walk from the apartment. Juliet went to a lot of effort to make our holiday great. There were many restaurants, catering to different budgets, to choose from at Playa Paraiso and we were very lucky that our favourite beach bar, serving food all day until very late, was right next to the apartment. Car hire is definitely recommended and we enjoyed visiting different beaches along the Strip, swimming in the Mar Menor and Med - spoilt for choice.
Thank you, Juliet, for all you did to ensure we had the best time.
Perfectly positioned 8th. floor appt. with panoramic views over the salt pans and the gently curving beach of Mar Menor and it's palm trees.Just far enough from La Manga to be peaceful but not isolated. Perfect for families, very safe bathing and when we were there( the end of May 2011) plenty of space. There is a beach bar nearby and a selection of restaurants within walking distance in Playa Honda or along the beach towards La Manga. Honda Mar is the local "supermercado" they were very welcoming & helpful (wonderful burgers & good local wine)The apparttment has all you need for a pleasant stay and Juliet can provide you with a starter pack of food on request, if you arrive late. All in all it was the perfect holiday location for us.
Playa Paraiso is conveniently located for daily markets, Inexpensive sports center, international standard golf, tennis, spa and gym. A marine reserve offers scuba lessons + varied marine life and shipwrecks.
These and the bright lights are all 5 minutes drive away. Also nearby are riding, waterskiing, sail, kite & windsurf schools,a big go-cart track and fishing trips. Our view is directly onto the Mar Menor sea, with its warm, shallow waters (up to 30º in summer). The mineral-rich, high-saline waters alleviate arthritis and skin conditions, promote post-operative healing, and are also perfect for swimmers and young children. A sports centre is a few minutes walk. Cartagena and Murcia offer culture, entertainment and shopping .Playa Honda with its beach bar, bus, supermarket and restaurants is a couple of minutes stroll..The protected virgin beaches of Calblanque are a few minutes away. Bicycles can be hired. You can dine on the beach to the sound of the waves overlooking the Med, or try paragliding. The seafood is outstanding. Murcia airport only 20 minutes away, and Alicante an hour..
Cafes, restaurants, chiringuitos, beach bars, supermarket and sports centre are just a few minutes walk.
Other Activities: go carts, kite surfing, casino, spa, canooing, arthritis/psoriasis treatments bowling, sailing, riding.
Golf: Although situated on the beach, we are just 5 minutes drive from the La Manga Golf and Sports club. Its 3 x 18 hole courses often host the Open. There's also pitch and putt, numerous other sports, spa, restaurants and Casino. Its open all year round to the public, but is expensive to stay there. We are also within driving distance of several other courses (please ask us for details).
For non-golfing moments or family members, there's so much else on offer; from nature reserve beaches, sand dunes and trails to walk, cycle or ride, to city sophistication. Drive 5 minutes to The Strip for the beaches, bars and restaurants of the Mediterranean side, then cross over the road to the Mar Menor - like a healing, warm bath in the summer.
Both our apartments can sleep 6, and we are happy to accommodate stays of less than a week. Car hire or chauffering can be arranged. The golf courses of Vilamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, La Finca and Altoreal are also under 45 minutes drive. We are well-situated for the annual international festivals: Mar de Musicas, Jazz, Flamenco, Romans and Carthaginians, and Semana Santa, as well as important archeological permanent exhibitions. And, as mentioned, the La Manga Strip, approximately 23 km long, offers nearly 46 km of beaches and designated cycle tracks, plus eating, drinking and shopping.
