Unbelievable value for elegant, spacious apartment in perfect location
We stayed at this apartment with our 4 children for 5 nights in June. The photos do not do the rooms justice, especially the main living area. The whole apartment has huge double windows with heavy drapes to block the morning sun. The ceilings are incredibly high and, along with the large windows, give the main rooms a light, airy feeling. Our host Bruno was extremely accommodating and the first night, helped us move a couple pieces of art that we were concerned our baby would break. He provided a welcome packet including plenty of basic food for us in the cupboards and refrigerator, dishwashing soap and laundry soap, as well as a baby cot for our 1-year-old. The towels were nice, we enjoyed cooking several nights and being able to wash laundry when needed. When we had trouble figuring out our keys and entering the building, Bruno answered our call right away. Our sons enjoyed watching soccer on the large flat screen TV at all hours. The first morning, we stumbled out without a real plan and walked to the Vatican in about 12 minutes with the whole family, and realized the Pope would be coming through in an hour. We went back and visited the Vatican Museum another day and felt like we were within easy reach of many sights without taxiing everywhere. While you can see much without a taxi, if you wanted to do a trip farther away, our family had no trouble getting a taxi near the apartment.
