Botafogo is a charming neighbourhood of 'zona sul' of Rio de Janeiro. The region is vibrant, with many attractions: restaurants, bars, cafés, shopping malls, supermarkets, fruit market, movie theatres, plus useful places such as pharmacy and medical emergency (well in front of the building). You can go hiking at Red Beach, where you find the famous Sugar Loaf, the also famous Claudio Coutinho Trail and the beautiful beach. Taking the subway in front of the building, within minutes you arrive at Copacabana, Ipanema or downtown, where the cultural life teems in the Municipal Theatre, the art galleries, museums, traditional restaurants, the Centro Cultural Banco do Brazil, plus a trade in intense movement. Also the apartment is near the Botanical Gardens and Corcovado. A beautiful walk can be done to Praia de Botafogo and Flamengo Park, where is located the Modern Art Museum.
The night is lively in the many bars, cafés and restaurants along a wide sidewalk right outside the apartment.
Despite being a vibrant neighbourhood the building is quiet, as it is separated from the street by a good stretch surrounded by lush vegetation.
