‘Mar a Mantañas’ or ‘Sea to Mountains’ is our apartment, and home in Southern Spain. It was designed by architects, built to a high specification and furnished by an interior designer. It is on the first floor, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and, because of a large double sofa bed, can sleep six. We are pleased with the apartment and hope that you will enjoy your stay.

Because our apartment is in the hills above San Pedro and Estepona, looking one way, there are stunning views of the bay of Marbella and the mountains behind, and looking a different way, Gibraltar and North Africa. The photographs will give an idea of location. More can be seen on our website available through the link below.

The apartment is 15mins from Marbella, with its traditional old town and famous Orange Square and a few minutes from Puerto Banus, with its marina, surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. About 10mins drive in one direction is the traditional Spanish town of San Pedro, with shopping, promenade and beaches. About the same time in a different direction is the world renowned Spanish village of Benahavis set on the hillside just above us, with nearly 50 restaurants to choose from, a gastronomic delight. Spain is world famous for its sherry, olives and wine. The areas where some of the best are grown and distilled, are less than 2 hours away. Investigate and sample. The historic town of Rhonda is less than 50 kilometres away, or pop over to Gibraltar for some shopping and superb views from the summit. It will take about 45mins, but don’t forget your passport. Portugal is also not very far away or take a day trip to Tangiers by ferry. There are wildlife parks too within easy reach, and the mountain ski area of Sierra Nevada is only 2 hours away.

All this, without mentioning golf and as Southern Spain is known for its golf it’s worth saying that there are so many quality courses within a short distance it is difficult to pick only one out. And it’s not just golf. There are opportunities for tennis, water activities, off-road adventures, cycling and walking, to name a few. The choice is yours and your choice maybe to do very little, just sit around one of the pools and enjoy the views. They are breathtaking.

The apartment consists of large lounge and dining room, leading onto two large terraces, so having the benefit of watching the sunrise from one terrace and the sunset from the other. Access to the terraces can be from the kitchen, lounge or Master bedroom. The terraces have outside furniture, including dining table and six chairs, and a barbecue on each. The lounge area has a large flat screen tv with DVD/CD player. There is also a separate hi-fi system and a small number of DVDs and CDs to choose from. In the bookcase there is a selection of books for use by guests. The kitchen is fully fitted, including crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glasses, together with laundry facilities. All seating and dining facilities are equipped for six people.

Outside the apartment, there are four swimming pools including an infinity pool, plus children’s pools, all set in the tropical gardens, which included streams, a small lake and a fountain, all surrounded by plants and trees. It is a gated and secure development, and the apartment has its own private garage in the basement.

A beautiful spacious and modern apartment.

What glorious views and scenery from both balconies. Home from home with all the facilities and equipment catered for, if just lounging around the apartment or lazing around the several beautifully presented pool areas. So many great restaurants to eat at, only a few miles from the apartment and plenty of shops to buy that new outfit the next size up after you have sampled one too many meals out. The area has plenty to offer whether you are looking for a family holiday, a romantic break with a loved one or a chance to rub shoulders with a celebrity or two in Puerto Bantus. With a family of ages ranging from 18 to 50+ everyone was catered for. Looking forward to our next holiday here and a big thank you to the owners who were both friendly and helpful during the booking of our holiday rental, flights and hire car.

A fantastic holiday apartment, unmissable.

This apartment is a hidden gem set in the beautiful southern Spain,with fantastic views of Gibraltar, Marbella and the beautiful southern coastline.
This apartment was perfect for our family vacation with all the facilities that we needed.
A warm friendly greeting from the agent who meet us and showed us everything we needed to know.
This apartment has been designed so that you can walk in and straight away relax and enjoy your holiday. It is very clean and finished to a high standard, the owners have made this apartment feel like a home away from home.
The swimming pools were lovely to relax around during the heat of the day, the surrounding grounds were well maintained and a pleasure to walk around.
The local town are very beautiful and have some amazing food to enjoy, especially the fresh fish grilled on the beach which is a must.
I have recommended this property to everyone I know, this is the fourth time we have stayed in this apartment and took our family out with us on this trip, all of us have agreed it will not be the last time we stay here.

Happy Holiday.

My family and I have visited this fabulous apartment three times. On each occasion we have had an amazing time and have thoroughly enjoyed everything that this apartment and complex has to offer. The children loved the choice of pools and frog spotting in the small streams that run through the beautifully maintained gardens that surround the apartments.
One of the many fantastic things about staying here is the ease with which you can travel around the local towns and beaches, and visit the restaurants and beach cafes.
The luxury and convenience offered by the apartment meant that we could put the children to bed and sit on one of the balconies watching the sun set, and then spend time in the apartment enjoying the comforts of home in the luxury of this beautifully designed accommodation.
The responsivity and efficiency offered by the management team was second to none when we needed to call on them to assist us. This again provides a great level of reassurance when you are away from home.
I would recommend that you visit this part of the world and more specifically this accommodation as it has afforded my family and I some amazing holidays and some treasured memories.

Perect for exploring and unwinding

What a wonderful find. Situated in the hills, close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to feel private. Beautifully equipped and decorated villa to a very high spec. Views from the veranda are spectacular and make easy work of keeping an eye on the kids with a drink in your hand. Three pools keep your interest and they never feel too crowded. Down the hill is the town where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, or you can explore further up where there is a quant little town, or if you want to see how the other half live, head over to Marbella!

Great base to explore the area.

Super spot to find local hidden local gems, places to eat away from the tourist tracks. Five star views, and then to return to the 5***** homely accommodation. Feet up and still able to take in the views, and watch the sun go down. A good rest to recharge for the next days adventures.

Relaxing holiday in Benahavis

Had a great relaxing holiday. Barbeque on the veranda with beautiful views towards the coast. Peacefully situated in the hills but in easy reach of shops, restaurants and Marbella. Excellent pools that we spent lots of time in. Grounds are well kept and nice for the grandchildren to enjoy themselves safely. Villa was spacious with two generous bedrooms and a large bed-settee in the lounge area. Good size and well-equipped kitchen.Very clean and well maintained. A good time was had by all, young and old. We would certainly recommend it.
