Bernie Wieland came to Breckenridge after visiting numerous towns in Colorado looking for the perfect mountain location. Driving into town late one winter night, he was enchanted by the Currier and Ives scene that greeted him as he entered Breckenridge. Downtown sparkled with new snow and he was hooked. He purchased this great downtown condo steps from the lift the next day. After three major rehabs of the property, it is one of the nicest condos in one of Breckenridge, pairing the best location in town with impeccable good taste in remodeling and furnishings, this fabulous condo with views is truly one of a kind. A real treasure!

Unit 2606 in the Village at Breckenridge is in the closest building to Quicksilver Lift and it overlooks Maggie Pond, the Blue River, Red Mountain and Baldy Mountain. The premier location in town for lift and Main Street access, amenities such as indoor/outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs, exercise room, with extra spacious floor plan (900 sf),.arge wraparound deck and views to die for, no other complex or condo even tempted me. This condo had it all, just needed a large infusion of money and good taste to be perfect. I was more than happy to make such an investment in such an outstanding unit in the best town in Colorado!
Upon your entry into this spacious condo, you are immediately drawn to the 6 ft by 6 ft picture window that brings in the mountain, Maggie Pond and Blue River views to the great room. The large wraparound deck assure you of nice space in which to BBQ, enjoy the views and breezes while sipping morning coffee or enjoying apres ski wine or dinner. The large deck is also accessed from the bedroom, which features an awesome king bed, Mt Baldy views, and the sounds of the Blue River when the sliding glass doors are open. Unit has washer/dryer in the unit (unique), updated & upgraded kitchen, appliances, ceiling, doors, all woodwork, bathroom and furnishings. Decorated with true attention to mountain luxury, our guests return year after year to experience Breckenridge and our exceptional condo every season.
We stayed for six weeks, 11/7 - 12/20/2013, the unit was beautifully decorated, clean, and very spacious. Super convenient to the lifts. Hot tubs and steam room after skiing all day was just the thing for tired legs. The location was close to restaurants and shopping, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the days we didn't feel like going out. Bernie and Dee were very easy to work with - on the few occasions we we needed something (a new humidifier for example), they had the old one replaced and a new one to us very promptly. They also had great recommendations for good places to eat locally. We very much recommend this unit to anyone.
If you read the description of this condo, what is written is totally accurate. The condo is very upscale with qualitative furnishings and a California king size mattress which makes sleeping very comfortable.
(usually I have trouble sleeping while on vacation- not so on the condo's bed)..
The additional perks reside with Dee and Bernie. Long time Breck. residents, they know what restaurants, activities, etc.. are tops. We had to call Bernie to find a computer to we could print out our plane seat passes. He was very helpful and we had no trouble getting our passes.
We had been to Breck. many times over the years however, in terms of bang for the buck, quality of
the condo and convenience you cannot beat this vacation rental property. As General MacArthur said
" we shall return".
This unit is a real gem!! Cozy, 5 min walk to the heart of town and right around the corner from the Breckenridge brewery. Just a great location! Bernie and Dee (the owners) were fantastic to work with. They were super responsive, and clearly take pride in this unit. We enjoyed just walking around, the restaurants (many of which were closed for "mud season") and of course, each others company without children in tow! The highlight was a moonlight snow shoe hike conducted through the Breckenridge Nordic Center which is 10 mins away. Matt the owner was terrific!! DEFINITELY go there!
We go to Breckenridge all of the time, and this was the best 1 bedroom condo that we've stayed at. Perfect for a family of 4. Place was big and beautifully furnished, and the location is unbeatable. Owners are extremely responsive and provided us with parking pass before our check-in so that we could easily park and ski that day. We highly, highly recommend it.
This is one of the most beautiful condos (with the most beautiful view) in which I have ever stayed. The owners, Bernie and Dee, were absolutely delightful and I can't say enough about their wonderful hospitality. The condo's location is spectacular - Right in the heart of the town, within walking distance to everything - Some of the best restaurants and most charming stores are literally just steps away. Dee and Bernie thought of *everything* in the condo - There is even a flat screen with a DVD player mounted on the wall in the bedroom! It's the detail that makes the place so special...Every time I thought "I wish I had..." I would look in one of the closets and there it would be! Truly one of my favorite rentals ever; I will stay again and again! Absolutely beautiful in every regard.
Our ski vacation was from 1/7/07 - 1/13/07. Skiing was great with no lift lines. Dee's unit is located in the Plaza II building adjacent to the Maggie building. This is absolutely the best location in Breckenridge. Approximately 100 yards from the Quicksilver Lift and 200 yards from Mainstreet. The condo was first class in every way. The wrap around balcony was awesome. You could see downtown Breckenridge from one corner of the balcony and the Quicksilver lift from the other. The main view of Maggie pond with the mountains in the background was magestic.
Performing arts center 1.5 block, art shows, ice skating, children's museum, dog sledding, hay rides, snowmobiling, ice hockey games, yoga, fitness classes, wall climbing, gold mine tours, Ullar Fest, Oktoberfest (in September), 4th of July activities, antique shows, Corvette shows, orchestras in residence all summer. 400 mi of paved bike trails! Climb 54 14,000 ft mountains! Denver Broncos, Nuggets and Rockies games. Red Rocks concerts. Ghost towns.
