A single flight of stairs leads up from the front door to the first floor comprising of the master bedroom with king size bed and lounge/dining/kitchen area. On the second floor there is a good size luxury bathroom.

The lounge/dining/kitchen area is open plan containing a breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and 4 burner gas hob, fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine and microwave plus most modern appliances. The comfortable lounge has a 3 seater and 2 seater sofas, a TV with Free view and a DVD player. A wi-fi internet is available free of charge.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and ample furniture

The bathroom has a large slipper bath to relax in after a hard day’s sightseeing and a separate shower, wash basin and toilet.

The property has gas central heating.

The House has one reserved parking bay in the multi storey car park approximately 3 minutes walks from the property to guarantee stress free parking especially during the peak season when Tenby town is closed to traffic between 11am and 5pm

Lovely apartment, the best self catering place we've stayed at in a long time. Spotlessly clean, everything we needed for our stay and a great location right in the heart of Tenby. The reserved parking bay in the local car park was a huge bonus and it really is only a couple of minutes walk away. The bathroom was brilliant with a separate shower cubicle for the mornings and a lovely big slipper bath to soak in after a day exploring all Pembrokeshire has to offer. We were there for a week and would happily have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

A special week

It was my fiftieth birthday and we wanted a break away in this country, having decided on Tenby as we wanted to explore the Pembroke Coast a little, we came across Franklin House it surpassed our expectations and we enjoyed being in the town centre not needing the car for a lot of the week, all of our home comforts were met and the property maintained to a very high standard, a welcome including wine, tea ,coffee and milk was much appreciated after a six hour drive. We found many lovely places to visit and eat at using the visitors book for recommendations, the local people were friendly and welcoming and we saw Tenby male choir on our last evening quite a memory to come home with and of course a CD to listen to when we need a little reminder of our week. We also found close by the Welsh Love Spoon carving business and had a lovely morning learning about this tradition and it was free ! Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable week and we would return to the area and the house in the future it's good to know that this level of accommodation is available at such a reasonable price, let's hope the next property is as good.

The best week of the year! Awesome apartment in a fantastic location. We have been very lucky with the weather, a good mix of warm sunny days and cool pleasant evenings. The apartment is very clean and well maintained, it has been a "home from home" ...! :) Tenby is a wonderful location for a break away and brought many memories back from childhood holidays.

Very beautiful house, very clean! Great being in the middle of town, easy access to ice cream and chips. Other visitors beware if going to Caldey Island , take insect repellent!! We have ouchies.

There are three fabulous blue flag beaches and boat trips are available from the harbour around the clear waters offering great opportunities to spot dolphins, seals and the other abundant wildlife or take a trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks and sample the home made chocolate.

Walk out of the front door and you are in the heart of Tenby with great access to shops and restaurants and within 2 minutes walk to any one of the beaches.

Walk along Tenby's South Beach toward Giltar Point and join the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for fantastic views of Caldey Island and discover some of Pembrokeshire’s many hidden coves. Walk the narrow cobbled streets of the old town lined with elegant Georgian properties or sit in one of the many cafes which offer alfresco dinning during peak season and people-watch visitors to the many gift shops, restaurants and public houses.

Notes Wood Shop House is situated above The Wood Shop which is also run by the owner who is on hand to give tips and advice on hot fishing locations, great walks, quiet beaches, surf beaches plus much more local insider information. Keys and parking permit (£10 refundable deposit) can be collected from the Wood Shop any time after 4pm on the Friday of arrival and check out is by 10am on the Friday.
