Cozy Maine Coast cottage with spectacular views west to the sunset across John's Bay. Wrap around deck, broad lawn, and rocks at the water's edge. Watch the lobster fishermen pulling traps just offshore, follow the swirling seagulls, catch a glimpse of a harbor seal fishing just off the rocks. Capture the sunrise with the glistening pink sky and the fluorescent colors of the lobster pot buoys on the bay. Exceptionally well equipped for cooking, baking, and entertaining or just relaxing. Two minute walk to the white sands of Pemaquid Beach. Autumn adds another dimension of magic with breathtaking colors and crystal clear skies and stars.

Pemaquid and New Harbor date to the early 1600's. See Fort William Henry, Pemaquid Light (it's the image on the new Maine quarter!), the charming local villages of New Harbor, Round Pond, Damariscotta, and Wiscasset. Take a boat tour to Monhegan Island or catch a cruise for Puffin or Whale Watching from Shaw's in New Harbor. Try the fine restaurants in the area or a picturesque waterfront lobster wharf. Wander further to Boothbay Harbor and Bath, or the other way to Friendship, Port Clyde, Owl's Head, Camden, and Rockland (don't miss the Wyeth Collection at the Farnsworth Museum) for classic Maine flavor. Go power shopping in Freeport (LL Bean and much more). Try sea kayaking, canoeing, or cycling the back roads. Check out the swimming hole at the mill pond in Bristol. Visit the classic 18th Century Meeting Houses (and their ancient cemeteries) in Pemaquid Falls and Walpole. Or just stay put on Pemaquid Trail...you'll be enchanted!
