love the family atmosphere of Charlestown- have been in this area all my life- large 2 acres- close to everything
house in excellent condition; centally air conditioned; huge yard- 2 Acres for children to safely play and cycle
We had a lovely stay at your beautiful home. We had great weather. We enjoyed the beaches(and the a/c). Our children loved the swings and yard and long driveway for riding bikes. We'd love to come back next year!
THIRTEEN ADULTS AND CHILDREN BUT WE WERE NEVER CROWDED....JOE GAVE PERMISSION TO MOVE BEDS TO WHEREVER WE NEEDED THEM TO FIT OUR SPECIFIC NEEDS....HE IS NEAR BY, NEVER INTERFERS BUT IS THERE IS YOU NEED HIM....WE WILL STAY AGAIN NEXT YEAR IF WE VACATION IN RHODE ISLAND AGAIN....
There were a few disappointments with this rental. Most disturbing was that the interior of the house did not look at all like the photos on line. There was no big screen TV, no area rugs, no stools around the breakfast bar, no dishes in the hutch. The house looked stripped.A beat up Kitchen table came with folding chairs. We had to buy some mugs and glasses and a dishtowel, and there were only 4 cooking pots. We had an ant problem all week no matter how clean we kept the counters. the dryer caused burn marks on some of our clothes.
the house was spacious and clean.
My family and I have stayed at this location twice in the last three years. You could not ask for a better location. The home has everything you would need or want for vacation. Plus the beach pass is great, you can use it for a few different beaches in the Charlestown area.
The house is well equipped and is close to many area attractions. The house is set back off the road, which makes it secluded and no traffic noise to bother you. There is a large deck on the back with outdoor furniture and grills. The house is spacious and the rooms large and clean. There is central air, a washer, dryer which are very convenient. All and all this is a great house for anyone looking to get away and relax in Rhode Island. My family and I will be returning. We enjoy the house, Joe the owner is great and very accommodating. Go and Enjoy!!
Was here for URI graduation weekend, 5/20-5/23, 2011. The listing description, photos were very accurate. The grounds were even nicer then the listing photo. The property was very clean and well-maintained and the location was perfect for any URI function, especially coming in the back way. The property owner was very accommodating and very pleasant to work with, especially booking as late as I did. We arrived much later then we had hoped and everything was ready for us without having to wait for someone to meet us. My daughter who was graduationg from URI also got engaged that weekend. Because of the privacy, the size of the house, the amenities, we were able to have a BBQ on Sat night with both families (around 20) meeting one another for a relaxing evening, bbq with 2 gas grills, horsehoes, firepit for toasting marshmellows (s'mores) which we would not have been able to do at a hotel/resort. Though I didn't get to meet Joe, the owner, in person, he made this a very pleasing experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this property to anyone, especially a family with children. Wished I had known about this place during the past 6 years for URI functions!! I would totally disregard the one poor review from ANG on 1/5, worst rental experience ever. This reivew is very suspicious and other VRBO beware of them! I would definitely rent this house again or from the owner Joe. Thanks Joe for a very memorable weekend!!
This is a very roomy comfortable home that is in a great loaction.
It is close to the beach and close to attractions as well.
It is also very secluded in a private setting something you don't usually find in a rental property.
The house is clean and well equiped with everything you will need for a great vacation.
My friends and I have been staying in this house every fall for our surf fishing week and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
...or has it been six years? We've lost count; only Joe knows for sure. Big, comfortable, and clean. Close to the beach and secluded. Every year there is something new in the house; last year it was HDTV and this year there is a new grill. The patio furniture is very comfortable; we spend our evening hours sitting outdoors. You will find good appliances in the kitchen, and Joe is always available if you need him. We are planning on coming back again next year.
