Overview

Capalbio Chateau / Country House Rental Photos and Description

1 bedroom 1 bathroom, large porch surrounded by lawns and gardens.

The casaletto Tuscan 'Casetta Rondine', is a detached villa set in a lush park / garden, facing south towards the view of the sea, the countryside and the sun. Fully equipped and furnished with care, both internally and externally, tell us that nothing is missing!

The big green spaces are wonderful and private, a path allows you to walk around the property 'which stretches for almost 4 hectares, between pine trees, olive trees and Mediterranean.

Casetta Rondine is part of an estate of recent construction, combines the look of Tuscan tradition with modern comfort. The property consists of a main house, which is the residence of the owners, and a second smaller villa called Casetta Rondine.

The property is completely fenced, and 'situated at the end of a country road. The place is 'really very nice, nestled in one of the most' beautiful Tuscan countryside, but close to the sea. It is just 10km from the beach which stretches for 12km to the north towards Ansedonia and acts as a barrier to Lake Burano, the WWF wildlife reserve.

The estate 'animated by some domestic cats, there is' a beautiful variety' of birds, butterflies and fireflies.

After 15 years in the United States for business reasons, we have decided to reside in one of the most beautiful places of our beautiful Italy, Tuscany, and particularly impressed us this fantastic and even rural nature Maremma, so 'close to Rome ! We fell in love immediately of this property ', despite the work to bring it back to the current splendor were many and tiring. But now, after 12 years, could not be more beautiful!

In 2013 we decided to put this beautiful property 'in the service of tourists. It 's too beautiful! Spending a holiday here and 'a feast for the eyes and for the soul. Its quiet, its silence is sometimes disturbed by the cicadas or crickets, and 'refreshing, ideal for relaxation assured. Its enviable position makes it very attractive for both nature lovers and sea lovers of culture: Tarquinia, Unesco World Heritage Site, for frescoed Etruscan tombs that are the oldest example of painting throughout Europe, and Vulci, with the Castle, the Etruscan Museum, the beautiful valley of the Fiora, the remains of the Etruscan town and the spectacular Ponte Etruscan-Roman. the impressive Rocca di Pitigliano with the nearby necropolis of Sovana, and of course the medieval village of Capalbio set like a jewel out of time. Do not forget the Tarot Garden, the visionary, colorful park inspired by Gaudi, designed by sculptor Niki de Saint Phalle.

The spacious and bright living area and 'consists of a living room with fireplace and dining area. The living room has a sofa bed that can 'offer two beds for children. The fully equipped kitchen is separated by a large arch covered with ancient bricks. The living area opens onto a covered porch and fully furnished 25 sqm. offering guests the possibility to choose whether to eat their meals inside or outside.

The bedroom offers a very comfortable king bed of FLOU and air conditioning. The adjoining bathroom has a shower.

Heating, electricity and water independent. Private access from the street through a remote controlled gate and several private covered parking spaces.

All windows, including the large sliding door between the living room and porch are equipped with mosquito nets.

Internet WI-FI - Satellite TV in the living room - DVD Blu Ray - Stereo -

The estate is run by the owners, which I employ two people in order to keep the property immaculate and well-tended gardens. The owners speak perfect English.

Casetta Rondine is located in the estate of Casale Del Picchio, in the area called Maremma, one of the most fascinating of Tuscany. It is a region with an ancient heart, rural atmosphere here live elsewhere disappeared, evoking memories of the past, generations of old families, harvests, summers and the sea. One is tempted to believe that this landscape owes its charm to the presence of the Etruscans, an ancient civilization that has lived and farmed here centuries before Christ.

In the last fifteen years the area has become a favorite destination of a certain intellectual elite Italian and international, in search of the quiet Tuscan charm, enriched by the joys of a pristine sea.

A wide strip of fertile land separates the sea from the hills. And 'here, where the hills begin, which is the house of the woodpecker, surrounded by trees and lovely gardens, where the gaze is lost in the valley of olive groves and wheat fields up to the sea. The estate covers c. ca 4 acres of olive groves, pine forests, orchards, trees and Mediterranean. The property 'and' set in one of the most 'beautiful in the romantic Tuscan landscape. The place and 'quiet, beautiful, completely surrounded by countryside yet pure and simple. This, however, 'does not mean that we are isolated, a few minutes drive is all it takes.

Just a little more 'than an hour by train to visit our beautiful monumental Rome. Trains run from Capalbio have several stations in the city center ', from St. Peter's in Trastevere.

In 20 'you reach the Argentario, very well known for its natural beauty and historic, and the archipelago includes the islands of Giglio, Giannutri, Elba and the wild Montecristo.

And what about Capalbio, an ancient village nestled in the green hills of Maremma, a few kilometers from the sea, surrounded by a pristine area rich in woods and countryside. Walking through the narrow streets and squares of the old town feel the atmosphere of a past frozen in time. Capalbio is famous for having become the favorite destination of important characters of the show thanks to the editions of Capalbio Cinema, an event of great importance since 1994 attracts many industry experts, and personalities from politics, which has earned the name of 'little Athens' .

The wild beaches and stretches of golden sand of Capalbio extend for about 12 kilometers, bordering to the north with the Municipality of Orbetello (beach Ansedonia) and continuing until the end of Tuscany with 'The Last Beach' (Beach Chiarone). There are several entrances to the sea within easy reach and once on the beach you can choose to relax in the plants that will arise, or spend days on the vast semi-desert and beaches. The sea of Capalbio is characterized by its clarity, its beautiful colors and its nuances.

The coast sees the presence of a thick Mediterranean plants with a predominance of Juniper; the territory of the beaches of Capalbio is part of the WWF, and this means that the environment is always protected and safeguarded.

WWF Oasis - The Reserve of Lake Burano in Capalbio was established in 1980 and covers a vast territory between Ansedonia and Chiarone. The brackish lake is about 3 km long and is separated from the sea by sand dunes. The oasis owes its importance to many species of birds that overwinter and stop, which can be viewed with the activity tour of 'Bird Watching'. Also in the bush you can see many wild animals in the undergrowth and typical Mediterranean shrubs such as Juniper Coccolone and Mastic.

In short, do not get bored!

A hidden treasure in the Capalbio region

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful stay we had at Casetta Rondine in the Capalbio area. We were welcomed by the owners Vanda and Saverio who speak excellent English. The casetta was extremely clean and fully furnished. Everything we needed was there. Although the house is suitable for 4 people Vanda and Saverio allowed us to take a litle tent for 2 friends of our children and they prepared a special place for it in the Olive garden. The house offers excellent views of the surroundings and the sea. It is surrounded by a wonderful and well kept garden. We are surely coming back to this wonderful place.

Fantastic Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Casetta Rondine in late May of this year. The setting is wonderful - quiet, relaxing, great views, beautiful property. Vanda and Saverio were most gracious and friendly hosts providing lots of information on local sights, shopping and restaurants, facilitating our arrival to make it welcoming and easy, and communicating with us as we made the plans prior to the trip.

The cottage is modern and well appointed and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the gardens, breezes and views.

We are nature lovers and the cottage is conveniently located near parks such as Maremma National Park, Lake Burano, Mt. Argentario and the Fenigula de Popolo as well as ruins. You need a car, but the driving is easy. We will definitely return there if/when the opportunity arises in the future.

Casetta Rondine

  • 5 of 5

We are very delighted you had a great time during your stay at Casetta Rondine and surrounding. Great holiday

  • 5 of 5

First of all we want to thank Vanda and Saverio for the great stay at Casetta Rondine.

All details were great.

The house was perfect. It was more than clean and all things you imagine were there for using. We were welcomed from both. Also a great basket was there with products from Maremma.

The lawn was very green and soft. Near every evening we sit down the terrace and played games with our children. There was a TV there but we did not watch because of the perfect nature.

All our questions were answered by Vanda and Saverio. Also we received information about sight seeing tours (such that it is better to go to Rom by train, where is a nice restaurant at Giglio..)

We have no words to say all the things about our stay and we relaxed in these holiday and hope to see Vanda and Saverio next year again.

Many greetings from Germany.

Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter and I all found this place to be perfect. It is even better than the descriptions and photos convey.

Lets start with the owners- they spoke English which was very helpful, went out of ther way to communicate before and during our stay and helped select some great sights for us to see. They even welcomed us with a beautiful gift basket which included a bottle of delicious olive oil that they produce on the property.

The Villa- Lovely. It is quiet, decorated beautifully, fully equipped and perfectly clean. Has the old Tuscan design and feel but has modern amenities like working WIFI. We loved everything about it and the 2nd suite with its own entrance allows for privacy and comfort. The patio is the perfect place to start and end the day.

The setting- Gorgeous. the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. the hills surrounding the villa come alive with Sheep herds at different times during the day and the walking path throughout their grounds is wonderful. In addition- the location worked for us- we took the train to Rome, drove to Florence, and explored walled cities in the Tuscan country side. We have stayed at a lot of Home Away properties but this is the only one we have reviewed and is by far our favorite.
