Photos and Description of the Spruce Head vacation house rental - 2 BR, 1 BA, Sleeps 4

This newly renovated cottage is located on the ocean in a lobstering village on the coast of Maine. It is situated on a deep water harbor with spectacular ocean and island views. Although it is technically an island it is accessible by a causeway linking the island to the mainland. It is approximately 3 hours from Boston by car. It has two bedrooms, both with southern exposures and views of the ocean and the islands. The living space has the dining area to the left and the living area to the right (see floor plans through additional photos below). The living area has cushioned comfortable chairs, couch and cable TV. It also has a new gas fired heating system for chilly nights. The brand new kitchen has lots of counter space, cabinets and storage. The cottage has all hardwood floors with lots of windows and sliders for spectacular panoramic views. It also has a large deck for being outdoors with ample furniture for enjoying the Maine coastline.

Location: Maine < USA

You are close to the Camden/Rockport area, with delightful and quaint towns and numerous restaurants and boating facilities. You are also about an hour and a half from Bar Harbor, which features Acadia National Park, one of the most beautiful in our national parks system. There are golf courses nearby as well as lots of country roads for biking or exploring.

Spruce Head Maine Cottage Exceeds Expectations

Even with a few rainy days in early May and some cooler nights, this cottage on Spruce Head Island was perfect for the two of us. Several days we stayed in all day reading and watching the lobster boats coming and going. Other days we headed to Rockland, Rockport and Camden or south driving country lanes to hidden harbors and light houses. Exceptional restaurants like Primo in Rockland or at the Craignair Inn were all within easy driving distance. The cottage had all the basics at hand. It was about 14 miles to a large grocery store, but it was easy to get to. Beautiful scenery, world class art museums like the Farnsworth in Rockland, and small villages that invited you to explore and walk around were all delights. The new cottage heating system worked exceptionally well, and we were quickly very comfortable and relaxed. We would definitely come back here for another stay.......there's much more to see. And the cottage was very nice.

WHAT A PLACE TO UNWIND!! Beautiful scenery inside and out, all the comforts of home with the added spectacular view of the harbor. The outside deck was definitely a favorite of ours. Sit outside and watch the sunset. The surrounding towns are easily accessible for shopping/eating etc. The cottage itself is warm and inviting. The island itself is quaint, nice for taking a walk and taking in the sights. AGAIN, WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE TO VISIT!

This place is even better than the pictures! We had a great time there last week - the ocean is right at your doorstep and the sound of the ocean is so soothing to sleep to. I could live there year-round! The cottage is bright, clean, cheerful and roomy. I was in a group of four women and we all loved it and want to go back next year!

The cottage was great. Comfortable and couldn't ask for a better location. The scenery is just awesome. Lots of good places to eat in Rockland, Rockport & Camden area.

We have a great Time in Spruce Head.
Everything was wonderfull.Spectacular was the View in The morning,when we wake up and look on the Ocean from our Bed.The lobster were delicous.Hope we can come back soon.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Spruce Head.Es lohnt sich schon allein nur für den morgendlichen Blick aus dem Fenster noch einmal hin zu fahren.Die Einrichtung ist absolut neuwertig und die L age ist absolut phantastisch.
Die Eignerin kümmert sich um alle Extrawünsche.Das Hummergeschäft am Ort ist Klasse.Wir konnten 4 fangfrische Hummer für 50 Dollar kaufen.Hier in Deutschland bekomme ich grade mal einen 4tage alten dafür.Wir waren rundum zufrieden.
