About Claudia Pirazzi

My friends, a Dutch couple, of whom the husband is an international developer and they have lived in many places over the world, like Indonesia, America, Holland, France etc., both enjoy travelling, good food, very good wines, and have their family with grand children around them.

Claudia Pirazzi purchased this villa in 2008

Why Claudia Pirazzi chose Casciana Terme

They fell in love with this location, it felt so good to touch this ground. It gavethem the freedom and feeling close to civilization as the town is only about 2 km from home. They restored it with all their dream come true philosophy respecting the comfort they are used to back in Northern Europe and America. It was time to look for a second home, which feels like a home and is easy to reach and to care for.

What makes this villa unique

The complete freedom of open views 360 degrees, the private pool, the olive grove and last not least the elevator even if it is only for the first and last floor, which makes it easy to live in also for elderly persons. Last not least the marvellous garden, which is taken care of by professionals and you can see it.

Best holiday home we ever had!!

  • 5 of 5

Last october we enjoyed a fabulous week in this magnificent home. This was already our second stay here and we sure hope many more visits will follow! We were with a party of 10 (6 adults + 4 children) and everybody had the best of times. Even with 10 people the house offers plenty of room and privacy for everybody. We all had our own large bedroom (very comfortable beds!) and a private bathroom (ballroom size..with a big walk in shower and separate bath, wish I could have that at home!). The house is very tastefully decorated (I loved the paintings) and has a fantastic kitchen area with all you ever need to cook up a wonderful Italian dinner! But the best thing about this house is the wonderful outside area. The house is surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside and the views from the main terrace and pool area simply take your breath away! It doesn't get more 'Tuscan' than that: Rolling hills as far as the eye can see, small hilltop villages, wine and olive groves and in the distance the medieval city of Volterra!! The parents were enjoying the beautiful views and comfortable sun beds, thanks to the well heated pool the kids were having a blast swimming and playing in the water all day! Also the huge sandpit and the playground made sure the kids did not get bored. Overall the house was very well maintained and very clean. The housekeeper Lucia was just lovely and very helpful (the kids loved here as well!). Location is great, very private and you really feel you are in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, yet you can easily walk to the village of Casciana Terme where you have some nice (very affordable) restaurants with great food. There is also a big supermarket just a few miles down the road. Overall this is simply a wonderful place, we could not fault it! Hope we can come back again next year!!

Fantastic location and home!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic location also in winter and a very beautiful home.

This is a property that we want to return to! We were a family of seven and there was more than ample room and comfort for us all in every aspect. It is a bright, beautiful and wonderfully appointed home. All furnishings have been considered; comfortable furniture, great kitchen, plenty of towels, blankets (and the sort you would want in your own home). Bathrooms are fresh and modern, with plenty of hot water and pressure. The views were spectacular and the central location is great for for day trips to Florence, Tuscan oil and wine tasting, Cinque Terre, Volterra, San Gimignano and more.

The local town has a great pizzeria and there are some good restaurants in the area, but perhaps the most wonderful part of our stay were the friendly housekeeper Lucia and the cook. They provided us with restaurant recommendations, attractions to see as well as with great dinners when we came home. The third night of our stay Lucia and the cook prepared us a gourmet 5 course meal. It was absolutely delicious! Eventually we ate home more often and enjoyed the evenings, drinking local wines and watching the winter sunsets next to an open fire place. We have been to a number of rental properties and this one is a definite favorite.

We will come back also in the summer.

Two weeks back from a wonderful stay at villa Bellavista and still we just cannot stop talking about the beauty of this place! We spent a week at this very luxury, comfortable and cosy villa with its absolutely breathtaking view over the Tuscany hills. The colours of the landscape change several times during the day! We have two young daughters who spent every day several hours in the nice and well heated pool and that at the end of October! Everything in this villa is superb; the house was very clean and well maintained, the bathrooms beautiful and luxurious, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, even a little play garden for the children with swings and a big trampoline. There is a lot of space everywhere, a heated outside patio and a big terrace to relax with a nice glass of wine to enjoy the spectacular view! A good location for exploring Tuscany which we would highly recommend! We are looking foreward to our next stay in 2015!

Cold Comfort

  • 1 of 5

I paid a small fortune for a villa with a heated pool ( as advertised) for a holiday including 4 baby/ toddler granddaughters. They shivered through 2 weeks in an UNHEATED pool. Not only was the pool heating not working but the pool level was topped up every day with cold water! Of course the owner and agent didn't taken responsibility - they blamed the government who apparently can't supply electricity reliably in Tuscany in summer. Compensation ? Not a bit of it. They offered to pay me the cost of heating the pool for 2 weeks which was not what I wanted for a very expensive ruined holiday. I got nothing.

Owner's Response: It is true that the heater for the pool did not work and still does not for the same reason, that ENEL (ENTE NAZIONALE ENERGIA ELETTRICA) has problems with the delivery of enough power at the end points of their network. As a matter of fact, I have taken it out of the advertisement as it is something we cannot do anything about it and which we had to learn this August for the first time. It is not true that we did not act and react: We paid a lot for an emergency call for an expert (holiday in AUGUST) in order to resolve it in time for Dr.Lennon, we called the electrician twice who managed to get even the tecnician from ENEL on the spot in August, which was a little miracle in Italy and shows that we have done our utmost to do what was in our power. We all had to learn from him that the problem exists at their end, but it is not big enough to resolve it quickly as the basic electricity was delivered. We appologize and do not offer a heated pool anymore even if it works.

Amazing Villa

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a glorious week at Bellavista. As the previous reviewer mentions, the photographs really do not do this property justice. The villa is fantastic - bedrooms are large, bathrooms beautifully decorated and the kitchen has all the mod-cons you might need (including an ice maker, wine chiller and numerous ovens). Outside the pool is glorious (and much closer to the house than appears in the photos) and views over the Tuscan countryside are breathtaking. There are a couple of lovely outdoor seating/eating areas with comfy chairs and shades.

The housekeeper, Lucia, is incredibly helpful and organised two fantastic dinners to be cooked for us at the villa by a local lady from the village. The food was delicious.

There are restaurants in Casciana Terme (a 15 minute walk there, slightly longer coming back up the hill). We also had a superb dinner in Chianni (a 15 minute drive). There is a supermarket only 10 minutes away.

In summary, this is a fantastic spot to spend time in Tuscany. We have stayed in a number of properties in the area and Bellavista was, by far, the most impressive. I would recommend this villa to any families looking for a tranquil location, whilst still being close enough to restaurants and the town. The villa itself is superb - our party of 7 could find no faults whatsoever. We hope to return in 2015.

This is an amazing property and location and we would highly recommend it to anyone requiring a holiday villa in Tuscany.

On arrival we were welcomed by the friendly housekeeper, Lucia, who was available through out our holiday for any requests/help.

The villa especially suited our entourage as it catered for both the young and old. The playground was our kids favourite; a huge in-ground trampoline, swings, slide and seesaw. A large pool with amazing views, beautiful and exceptionally well maintained gardens, lots of outside and inside relaxing areas and facilities that were second to none in our experience. The internal lift is a great asset for the not so mobile.

The accommodation was extremely comfortable, luxurious, very clean, well maintained and equipped. Like a 5 star hotel. The bathrooms were gorgeous, beds really comfy and the kitchen extraordinarily well equipped.

We had a local cook prepare dinner for us one night and was both reasonably priced and delicious.

The location provided easy access to Tuscan hill villages and only a 10-15 minutes walk through olive groves and vineyards to Casciana Terme, the local town. This pretty town was nice to walk around and has a famous thermal spa bath resort. The villa was also an easy 30 minutes drive to Pisa and one hour to Volterra.

We have traveled the world and stayed in many beautiful places and have high expectations. We found that this property exceeded our expectations and the pictures on the website do not do it justice. If we are ever in Tuscany again we will be sure to stay at Bellavista.

Casciana Terme lies in the heart of the Pisan Hills, close enough to the Coast for daily beach trips and with its over one thousand years of history it is one of the many small masterpieces that the people of Tuscany have helped to build and to preserve over the centuries. Hard-working friendly people, a cuisine which preserves the authentic quality of the local products, a landscape of vineyards producing wines of quality above suspicion and olive oil of light and fresh taste. SPA, which comes from the Latin: 'Salus per Aquam', health and beauty through water, the thermal water used at Casciana Terme since ancient times, which is only 2.5 km from the Villa, has in recent years seen its applications extended to modern rehabilitation therapies, cardiovascular and respiratory treatment, in the improvement of the digestive functions and their treatment, because its natural, relaxing action enables patients to regain their functional equilibrium and the enjoyment of pleasures they had lost.

Golf course and SPA are very close to complete a relaxing stay for beauty and health with breathtaking views onto Volterra, rolling hills with changing colours throughout the year. Earth, ground and Terra taken care of Tuscan hands.
