RIVERSIDE COTTAGE *RIGHT ON THE BANKS OF THE BITTERROOT RIVER* ONLY $700/WK

My husband and I drove down from Edmonton, Alberta. It was a long drive, but when we arrived we couldn't have been happier. The cottage was exactly as we imagined - quiet, private and perfect! Our chihuahua also got to work at relaxing and enjoying the local wildlife. Across the river there were deer every night, my husband put on his waders and got right in for a little catch and release. He caught 5 brown trout in total, and I got one off the bank. All little guys, but we still had a blast. As there was a fire ban and quite a bit of smoke, we spent our evenings watching movies and playing cards. The owners were absolutely fabulous to deal with and more than accomodating. The little store across the street has pretty much every thing you could need, even a little pub if you feel like getting to know the locals. I could not say one negative thing about our time in this riverside cottage. We left behind a couple of things we hope future visitors can enjoy, a Canadian flag chair lawn chair and the dvd of A River Runs Through it. Seemed fitting :)

Idyllic Cottage, Fantastic Experience!!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this quaint little cottage tucked neatly back off the road and right on the river. My husband got out and fished that night and caught four brown trout right away. Ultimately he got 8 for catch and release. I read my book and checked on him from time to time. Delighted to see him in such a state of bliss. This cabin had everything we needed to make it a base for our daily outings in the Hamilton area. We went to the store nearby and bought food to cook and had delicious low cost meals. Amy was such a fantastic manager and super easy and positive to work with. Everything was phenomenal about our stay and we would highly recommend this place. It could easily accommodate two couples or a family of four. Great for girls or the guys on a fishing trip. We did need mosquito spray, but I think that it is seasonal and fortunately they had some bug juice, starter supply of toiletry items and some kitchen basics. Bring your own hair shampoo and blow dryer. The bath towels are plush and plentiful. There is a tv, but only for DVD's. They have a DVD library, and you can rent DVD’s at the store. Cell phone coverage was spotty. The cabin was clean and well appointed with lovely wood floors, white and cream walls, and comfy furniture. We could not have stayed at a neater place. I would stay here again or at any property run by Amy. She is one top notch business lady!!!! Loved, Loved, Loved it. I have traveled extensively and stayed at many fine establishments. We preferred it over the best local hotel. There is no place like home or this creekside cottage. This place is a winner!!!

My husband and I went to the cabin in June of 2010 and had a blast. If you are looking for a quiet spot away from the world this is the place to go. It is close enough to other small towns (10-30) miles to find other attractions. We also went to Missoula for the day and had a blast looking at more beautiful spots in Montana. the cabin sits right on the river and we really enjoyed the serenity of it all. My husband really enjoyed fishing out the back door, and I loved the shade to sit and watch him and read. Other fishing spots are really close and we enjoyed them also. The little store there in Conner had just about anything you might need and great sandwhichwes. The cabin itself was great, bring your dvd's and enjoy the quiet of No regualr TV. For an entire week we had No idea what was going on in the world unless we wanted to listen to the radio. Wonderfull! We did have cell reception in case we needed to be contacted. The caretakers were great people to work with. Do yourself a favor and go to this cabin and relax.
