Private, serene, lots of space for the kids to play! Oak floors, stone walls, window wall & a stone fireplace (gas) are just some unique features. Fully equipped renovated kitchen opens conveniently to dining area - large oak table looks out over the forest and hills. Comfortable beds (quality bedding) are a priority!... both master bedroom and guest suite have new queen pillow tops; guest suite has attached room w/ 2 single beds (trundle). Off the hall between is 1 full bath. Two single beds (trundle) ( w/ washer/dryer) on other side makes an ideal family setup! Sleeps 8. New 25'x30' separate game room addition , full kitchen, full bath, 42' HDTV, home theater, pool table, covered screened deck that overlooks the creek, sleeps 4.

Located off Hwy 151 - 12 miles from Asheville - 3 1/2 miles to Blue Ridge Pkwy. The Asheville area provides an abundance of activities to suit all visitors: Biltmore Estate, museums, arts and entertainment, movie theaters, fine dining, malls and antique shopping, crafts and pottery and miniature golf. For your convenience, grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores are only 10 minutes away. The following: State Parks, white water rafting, canoeing, fishing, golf, tennis, horseback riding are from 10 minutes to 3 hour drive. Check our up-to-date calendar for openings! (below). Creekside Guest House/ Gameroom is one large room ( 25'x30') has a comfortable memory foam queen Murphy bed (pulls down easily with one hand from the wall) and a comfy queen sofa bed. Full bathroom off hall/washer/dryer.

Outdoor provisions include 2 decks (one is screened by the creek), flagstone patio, picnic table and gas grill. Across the driveway and down a few steps, the campfire site beckons the fireflies and eager children waiting to play in the creek or roast marshmallows. Although smoking is not permitted inside Mountain High, the decks provide both convenience and a sand buckets for this activity. There is a non-refundable $85 pet fee. We invite you to experience our 'little piece of heaven' Mountain High.

The house was great, the firepit was so enjoyable, but without a doubt,,,,,the most wonderful part of the property was the guest house! Our family enjoyed the pool table, and gas logs, but the porch was absolutely fantastic! How great to sit out on the porch and listen to the creek with our family. More Comments...: 'This has been a great family vacation! We hiked almost everyday...the most beautiful and fun for the kids was hiking 'Graveyard Trail'. We visited the N.C. Arboretum, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, The Grove Park Inn...just to name a few! Had dinner at the Pisgah Inn - it was good, but really enjoyed cooking steaks here on the grill. Dear Jan and Keith,

Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous place with us. You did a fantastic job with Creekside! And the area is gorgeous. We had a fabulous day hiking Mt Pisgah and seeing a few of the waterfalls of Transylvania County. And the kids enjoyed Sliding Rock, though I didn't fare so well there! : )

Also had a great day at the Biltmore, visited Cherokee, and had time to explore Asheville. Loved Malaprops!

And your beautiful home was the perfect way to start and end each day. From a relaxing breakfast next to the creek, with hummingbirds all around us, to an evening around the fire, we will never forget it.

All in all a fantastic trip. One we plan to repeat for sure!

Labor Day Weekend Get-A-Way

Hi, Jan,
Our family had a WONDERFUL time at Mountain High and Creekside. It was a beautiful setting and there was something for each of us to enjoy. Our 4 and 3 year old "grands" really liked the creek and the campfire.
My husband and son really enjoyed the pool table, and it was fun listening to them make up the rules as they played. We hiked along the trail road off 151 but didn't get too far with the little ones.

We really enjoyed the pictures showing the stages of the home's development. You've really worked hard to have a great place. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Thank you, Keith and Jan, for sharing your home-away-from-home with us. We had a great time while we were there in August. We enjoyed opening the double-doors at Creekside so that we could enjoy the screened porch and listen to the creek. That was also where you would find me early in the morning enjoying the sunrise. My kids had fun turning over rocks in the creek during the day and roasting marshmallows over the fire in the evenings. We found this to be an ideal place to spread out and relax after a nice hike.

Hi Jan- had a great time and we are in culture shock coming home! The place was perfect for all of us and the kids had a blast just being together having a catch outside, making smores, playing pool. tubing. white water rafting, all the boys went to a baseball game in asheville, gem mining in franklin. piscah for picnic, horse back riding and making dinners on the bbq. thanks so much Jill
