This cottage has a large (22x6 ft) screened porch, a 13x13 ft living room with gas fireplace, a new up-dated eat-in kitchen with new refrigerator, brand new bathroom with tub, a washer/dryer, two bedrooms 9x10 ft each, and a backyard witha screened gazebo, patio furniture, barbecue grill and comes with a canoe and 2 kayak for boating on the lake.

Ideal family retreat a short drive to dozens of attractions including Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, and the Appalachian Trail. Movies, fine dining, antiquing, hiking,skiiing,biking, fishing, wildlife, and plenty of shopping & art galleries within easy access. 45 minutes to Jacob's Pillow, Hancock Shaker Village, and the Berkshire Museum.

Ski: The cottage is only 2 miles from Ski Butternut in Great Barrington and a 20 minute ride to Catamount Ski resort in Hillsdale. Other popular ski resorts are in Northern Berkshire County which borders the Vermont ski resorts.

Wonderful Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the inclosed front porch which was nicely furnished with a table and chairs (where we ate our meals) and a comfortable sitting area where we read. The bathroom was new as was the laundry room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed (pots, pans, dishes,flatware and wine glasses). We enjoyed a few good meals at area restaurants and found plenty to do either at the lake or other area attractions. Terry was wonderful, providing us with literature beforehand and checking in with us from time to time. He couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. Great vacation!!!

It was our second time staying at this cottage. It is quite comfortable with loads of amenities. The well stocked kitchen is one and the screened in gazebo another.

Area is quiet, peaceful and a short distance to town. Convenient to visiting various sites in surrounding locations.

Owner is very pleasant and helpful.
Highly recommended.

wonderful time

Cottage was immaculate when we arrived.
Located in woodsy setting with a very short walk to the lake. Great Barrington with restaurants and many shops just a 10 minute ride away.
Met Karen Allen from Raiders of the Lost Ark while staying there. She has a textile shop in Great Barrington and gave a very entertaining talk with questions and answers as well as film clips from all the Indiana Jones movies at general store in nearby Monterrey.
Owner of cottage is very friendly and most accomodating.

Highly recommend..........!

Wonderful cabin stocked with everything you need.
Out in the woods but still close to many tourist activities. Lake Buel is perfect for kayaking and canoeing ( which owner provides for your use). Owner is very pleasant and helpful. I hope to rent this cabin again,

Cozy cabin

A quiet, peaceful, rustic cabin near a lake. Well stocked kitchen was a blessing as was the outside screened gazebo. Many amenities provided which made our stay extra comfortable.
Good location for unwinding and viewing wildlife during early morning walks/runs.
Easy access to civilization!! :)
Would return and recommend to a friend.
