Osprey's Nest is a spacious, bright and sunny second floor apartment with 10x25' deck at the water's edge. While overlooking Hopkin's Island, enjoy lobster dinners at your picnic table with lovely views of Dingley Cove. Walk to, and buy, fresh lobster at Watson's General Store or eat out at Cundy's Harbor wharf restaurant. Shore birds abound; watch herons, terns, eagles...and seals. The scene constantly changes; it is coastal Maine at is finest. Launch your kayak or canoe from the yard. Kitchen has generous eating area & bathroom has stall shower. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the large living room in addition to the bedroom with a really comfy queen sized bed. Well decorated; the comforts of home.

You'll love the day-trip opportunities to Portland, Camden, Bath, Wiscasset, Boothbay...museums, antiquing & nature walks....25 minutes to L.L. Bean & Freeport

After you relax and enjoy the views and the quiet of our beautiful spot, there are lots of day-trip opportunities to Camden, Bath, Wiscasset, Portland, Boothbay and all of Casco Bay and Mid-Coast Maine. Just 25 minutes to LL Bean (Freeport). State parks and beaches (Popham and Reid) are fabulous and well worth the 45 min. ride. Enjoy summer fairs, markets and events including performances at Bowdoin College, Brunswick. Or go antiquing, to museums, take nature walks, etc. We have a variety of seafood and other restaurants just 5-30 minutes away, many in picturesque locations.

Cundy's Harbor is a gem.....and you can walk there. It's a quaint fishing village and harbor that everyone loves. Buy lobsters at Watson's General Store and cook right in our lobster pot, or have lunch, dinner or ice cream at the restaurant on the wharf. Our area has many peninsulas and small harbors to discover. So far it's unspoiled by too many tourists.

Notes: Wireless internet connection included; lobster pot; parking for one car (second car parking across the street); sheets and bath towels available $25/week per couple. We have excellent, bottle quality water. And as the result of our fancy water purification system and well, we are unable to offer a washer and dryer. We need to be kind to our water systems. But there is a handy laundromat in Cooks Corner. We are in a wonderful kayaking area and you can launch your kayak right here (see our pictures of kayaking visitors). And we have a deep water mooring that may be available. Please communicate well in advance about its use.

Things to Do: Visit state parks and beaches (Popham and Reid) that are each about 45-50 minutes drive, and very will worth the drive. We've been there on beautiful sunny days and cloudy and rainy days....they all have their special beauty. Kayaks or canoes can be launched from the yard. There are summer fairs and special events in the area. There are well respected music and theater performances at Bowdoin College and the Maine State Theater in Brunswick. A variety of seafood and other restaurants are within an easy drive, many in picturesque locations. Kids love to explore the rocks and catch crabs in front of the cottage. Lobsters can be purchased straight out of the water at the local lobster pound, Watson's General Store. Cundy's Harbor is an unspoiled gem; you'll love the restaurant on the wharf, the gift shop and the general store. Watson's has been featured on TV. The wharf restaurant serves summer lunches and dinners, is BYOB and has good ice cream too.
