Very clean, comfortable place to stay in a convenient location with access to several cross country ski areas. The owners were great in assisting us with our car getting pushed out from the snow that blew in on the day of our arrival. Would recommend this rental to others.
Great place to stay and plan to stay here again. Owners live on site and are always available. Kitchen was more than fully equipped with cookware, plates, glasses, etc. Owner provided milk, eggs, & OJ in the fridge. Great location; less than 2 miles from the center of Manchester (shopping, dining, etc.) but the center of town is easily bypassed by heading north to Highmeadow Way to get to Bromley, Magic, or Stratton. Large bathroom with Jacuzzi. Dutton Farm Market is a good place for produce & baked goods. Great value for a large living area in a popular area.
We spent the last 2 weeks in this very clean, very well furnished cottage. This is our second visit and we will return again. The kitchen has everything you need including staples like sugar, flour, oil, and spices. The rooms are comfortably furnished. There are space heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms for those very cold Vermont mornings. The driveway is well maintained in winter weather.
It is very close to Manchester but far enough away to have a rural feel. Great view of the mountains to the west and the evening sunsets. The owners are gracious and full of local knowledge but respect your privacy.
I recommend this property for a great ski vacation.
Norma has provided a pleasant, turn-key cottage. Norma is a great source of information for whatever your needs may be as you spend time in Vermont. The cottage is EXTREMELY well equipped, the beds are wonderful and the water is nice and hot! It is much nicer than staying in a motel; cozy and comfortable, but with ample space suitcases, skis, etc. It would be perfect for a family, or a couple.
My husband and I just spent an extended ski vacation in Norma and Joe's comfortable, clean and thoughtfully furnished cottage. The description and pictures give a good idea of what is there. We hope to return next winter for another ski vacation.
Norma and Joe were very hospitable. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs, milk, OJ and Coffee. And there was fresh fruit on the table. They were ready to offer suggestions about activities and lent us snowshoes one day for a walk on a nearby trail. They also kept us in baked "goodies" which we really enjoyed.
I cooked every day and the kitchen is very well stocked. I always had the pot, pan or utensil I needed. And they provide flour, sugar, oil, vinegar, spices. It was so nice to be able to cook our meals.
The internet signal was strong and we loved the DirectTV with the Tennis Channel. It was a real luxury for us.
The cottage sits on a slight rise just off a town maintained, paved road. This is very important in Vermont during "mud season." And the crushed stone driveway was well-maintained.
The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and quilts. The bedrooms (and bath) have small built-in heaters which keep you toasty when the temperature gets below zero. There are plenty of carpets and throw rugs also. So bring your warm slippers and enjoy this lovely cottage.
My husband and I spent Columbus Day weekend at the cottage with our three little boys. The cottage was very clean and had a well-equipped kitchen and rooms, even with games for the boys to play. Norma was very sweet to leave us basic foods in the fridge as well! The surrounding area had so much to offer - restaurants very close in Manchester, state parks for hiking, the Merck farm for seeing animals and hiking, farms for picking pumpkins. Wonderful fall weekend getaway.:)
