We had a perfect vacation here! The views of Mullett are spectacular, the patio was a perfect place to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a place to relax. We went swimming at several public beaches appx. 5 minutes or so from the cabin. We went to Mackinaw City, Petoskey, Alanson, Traverse City and the Sleeping Bears sand dunes. Topinabee has a great furniture and momentos shop called ABC Rustics. The renovation of the original cabin is beautiful, plenty of room, air hockey and basketball, a lovely walk-in shower, and a beautiful view from the balcony. I used a wheelchair in the house to get around and I had no problems with it! The cottage was very clean, great big dining room table, lots of board games too! We ate out a lot and went places such as, Big Boy on ther river, The Rusty Anchor, Yeck Burger, BC's Pizza, even Mc Donald's. Grocery shopping is very convenient with a Wal-Mart and Glenn's Food and K-mart all in downtown Cheboygan. Shanty Boy Gifts has a great selection of Mullett Lake themed gifts, great pics for framing, cartds and magnets, etc. My grandparents actually built this cabin originally so I spent my entire childhood at the Lake every summer. The new updated cabin is great , I think my grandparents would have loved it! Mullett Lake was a magical place when I was just a kid and it still retains that magic today. We are planning a two-week stay next year! A truly lovely vacation spot.
