Late Summer Visit

Overall the place is ok. We were escorted up which was nice. They do give you the oppurtunity to view the place before you accept which is good as well if you dont drive 3 hours with a weeks worth of stuff. Otherwise you should make an advanced trip. It was pretty clean though. The well water was not so much and definitly not suitable for drinking or cooking. The downstairs shower lacked any water pressure, and the drains in all of the sinks didnt drain too well. The living room was spacious as was the loft (considered a bedroom). The 3 downstairs bedrooms were on the small side. The pool was cool but was smaller than the picture made you think. Overall I think it was smaller than you would believe from the photos.
I wouldn't recommend it for a family with young children though (especially if you want to spend time in). The stairs are very steep, the loft railing doesn't have adaquate fall protection, the deck doesn't either, there are alot of chemicals under the kitchen sink.
I would say its more of a boys or girls week out type of place or a place to stay where you wont be spending a whole lot of time indoors.
The only other annoyance was the phone kept ringing with credit card offers for the owner.
The yard was pretty good. It had 2 charcoal grills, a couple picinic tables, and a fire pit. It was pretty much bug free as well.
Overall it was a pretty quiet place with some nice views (no sunrise or sunsets though) and a decent yard. As always its made a bit better to have the indoor pool.
