Santa Margherita di Pula is part of the larger municipality of Pula. It is one of the best natural areas in Sardinia, with many beautiful beaches, mountains, forests.. Pula is and has been popular with tourists for quite a while now with summer seeing the highest numbers, but still absolutely less crowded then other parts of Sardinia. It boasts magnificent sunny weather, sandy shores and slow pace of life. Most people who make their way to this corner of the world aim to achieve perfect relaxation. In restaurants visitors will be treated to delicacies that are fresh from the fishermen’s nets at highly affordable prices. Visitors must make a guided tour of the ruins at Nora. This archaeological site contains some fascinating relics (including its own amphitheatre and some well-preserved mosaics) that will no doubt intrigue history buffs. On top of that the place is surrounded by a scenic beach with lagoons as well as fields of wild flowers and olive groves. Like the rest of the province of Cagliari, the weather is simply superb. It is nice and warm for most of the year with July and August being the hottest months.. Winter temperatures are rarely ever harsh with average around 15°C. Cagliari generally doesn’t experience much rainfall and the rainiest days are limited to autumn and winter. Visitors can fly into Rome or Milan and then get a chartered plane there or simply board a Ryanair or Alitalia flight (in the case of some European cities) directly to the Elmas Airport in Cagliari. This airport is less than half an hour from Santa Margherita di Pula and newly arrived tourists can either make this trip by taxi or hire a vehicle from local car hire companies. Arriving by car, you can get a ferry from Genova (north of Italy) or from Civitavecchia (port of Rome), with “Tirrenia” ship company
