Mezzola is a typical stone-built Tuscan farmhouse, located on an estate producing Chianti wine, only 1 kilometre from Cerbaia and 18 kilometres from the centre of Florence. Until a few years ago, it was the home of the owner, an antique dealer, who restored and furnished it for family use. The interiors of the house are very comfortable and furnished with antiques. The living area is particularly spacious, with a big living room and kitchen, opening to a furnished courtyard where outdoor meals can be enjoyed. In the bedrooms on the first floor air conditioning is available at extra cost. The location of the house is ideal, not only for exploring the surrounding Chianti area, but being less than ten minutes from the two highways connecting Florence to Siena and Pisa, it is possible to visit these wonderful Tuscan cities in less than one hour’s drive. The housekeeper lives at the back of the house in a separate apartment.

Ground floor: Entrance hall; large sitting room with fireplace; dining room with fireplace; billiard room with fireplace; guest-bathroom; kitchen opening onto the front courtyard furnished for eating outside; double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only) and sitting area.

First floor: Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room with single bed; twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom; 2 double bedrooms; bathroom. On this floor there is a small bridge connecting to the back garden where the pool is situated.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (Euro) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Clients must arrive between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and leave before 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

    Security deposit (Euro): 750.

    Extra costs: heating, air-conditioning (200€/wk).
  • 1. BOOKING
    A deposit of 30% of the property rental must be paid. no contract with us will exist until we have received this amount and the booking form duly signed, and have subsequently confirmed your booking. Should you later cancel, cancellation charges will become payable in accordance with paragraph 3.

    2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
    The balance of the payment must be paid at least eight weeks before departure. If the balance is not received by us by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking without prejudice to our claim for cancellation charges, and to retain the deposit. For bookings made within eight weeks of departure date, you will be required to pay the full cost of your holiday at the time of booking.
  • 3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
    It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost.8 weeks or more before departure Deposit(30%)8-6 weeks before departure 50%6 weeks-departure date 100% Cancellations must be received in writing by us.
