This beautiful farmhouse is located in a very quiet and secluded position on the Castello di Volpaia estate, situated in Chianti, where we have successfully been renting two other properties, La Pozza and Il Casetto for many years. The owners of the estate, with long experience in providing guest accommodations, completed restoration of this stone-built farmhouse in 2005. Their aim was to make it the ideal residence for those seeking a totally relaxing holiday in Chianti, so they have provided full-time staff to take care of the house and to prepare meals for guests. The interior of Casavecchia Volpaia has been restored with full respect for the typical Tuscan traditions, and each bedroom has been equipped with an en-suite bathroom. Guests can enjoy incredible views from the covered terrace, which is furnished for outdoor eating and is also very practical for families as it overlooks the pool, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on the pool area. The fortified hamlet of Volpaia offers two nice restaurants, one of which owned by the estate. The English speaking estate staff can organize cooking lessons, visits to the wine cellars and will be glad to assist guests during their stay. There is also a tennis court in the hamlet of Volpaia, available on request. The property can also be rented with a cooking service (breakfast and another meal) at extra cost.

First Floor: twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower); double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only); twin bedroom with direct access to stairs leading outside and en-suite bathroom (bath and shower);

Tower: double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only)

Guest house: Large sitting room with fire-place; 2 twin bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom.

  • Clients must arrive between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and leave before 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

  • 1. BOOKING
    A deposit of 30% of the property rental must be paid. no contract with us will exist until we have received this amount and the booking form duly signed, and have subsequently confirmed your booking. Should you later cancel, cancellation charges will become payable in accordance with paragraph 3.

    2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
    The balance of the payment must be paid at least eight weeks before departure. If the balance is not received by us by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking without prejudice to our claim for cancellation charges, and to retain the deposit. For bookings made within eight weeks of departure date, you will be required to pay the full cost of your holiday at the time of booking.
  • 3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
    It is agreed between us that should you wish to cancel all or any part of your booking, or that the booking is cancelled by us due to non-payment, then we shall be entitled to the following percentage of the holiday cost.8 weeks or more before departure Deposit(30%)8-6 weeks before departure 50%6 weeks-departure date 100% Cancellations must be received in writing by us.
