My Slice of Paradise

Costa Rica is a picture of paradise in every direction you look. I've stayed in places throughout the country and keep finding myself returning to Karen and Tom's luxurious condo. I adjust so quickly once I come here because I feel so comforted and very much at home in this enormous, but cozy condo with it's tropical theme carried throughout. My favorite view is from the master bedroom when you pull apart the curtains and let the sunrise naturally wake you up with the most vibrant reds and oranges. I also find myself spending most nights looking over the balcony where you can see the ocean dug out between a sea of lush trees. One night we sat out there and unexpectedly got to see the most spectacular fireworks show coming from the hotel, exploding colorful designs right in front of us for 10 minutes. There is never a dull moment and Playa Conchal is perfectly placed right in the middle of several of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Bahia Del Piratas, so nothing is too far of a drive. The resort itself even has enough to entertain for an entire vacation, I have met people who never left while they were here and rave about their experiences. It is easy to become stricken with awe at how lovely nature can be when you walk to the beaches, and just as appreciative when it comes to the condo/hotel areas with its spectacularly designed pools that you can resist spending days relaxing at. I catch myself thinking often about how truly amazing Costa Rica is, and my stays here at Karen and Tom's condo have enhanced that feeling tenfold, as it is large part of the reason I keep coming back.

So Much To Do!

Our 10-day stay with 6 adults was event filled! This condo is unique in that it offers full access to Playa Conchal's world class Beach Club with its numerous infinity pools, exercise club & private beach (normally for condo owners only) as well as to all the facilities at the 5-star hotel where there is a live show every night, pools, spas, lots of activities. We spent a day rafting on the Rio Colorado, another day at the Congo Trail Canopy Tour, 2 days at the Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge where we saw the volcano erupting all night long from our beds, a day surfing at Playa Grande, and another day swimming beneath an enormous waterfall. A day trip to colonial Granada, Nicaragua, at the biggest market in Central America also was worth it. We left directions to all these activities at the condo. It was a vacation of a lifetime!

I have stayed at this property twice and can't wait to go back! It is beautifully decorated, has luxurious bedding & bath towels, thoughtful touches everywhere (nice shampoos, bath soaps), is immaculately kept, has a great view from the balcony, and provides full use of the 5-star hotel amenities on the grounds - restaurants, shows, swimming pools, beach, poolside games & exercise classes. It is close to a cute town with quaint local restaurants and to world-famous surfing mecca, Tamarindo Beach. They have great music & DVD movies in the unit & the owners (Tom & Karen) are honest, friendly & accomodating. This unit is great for a peaceful, romantic retreat, or for a seaside family vacation. Do not hesitate to rent this property.
