Sleeps 4. 2 bedroom farm cottage with private pool. Large natural garden with old fig, almond and 600 year old carob trees. Situated at the eastern end of Carvoeiro, next door to the 4 star development of Rocha Brava. Within easy reach of many beaches, golf courses and restaurants.

Renovated, cosy, typical 1893 Algarvian farm cottage at eastern end of Carvoeiro, next door to the 4 star development of Rocha Brava. The cottage retains many of the original features such as the well, bread oven and donkey stable (not open to clients). Large natural garden with old fig, almond, 600 year old carob trees and fossilized rock formations. Own private salt water swimming pool. Near clifftops and few minutes walk from the lighthouse. Short drive to busy town of Carvoeiro - bus stop is a few yards away, should you not fancy taking the car into town. Within easy reach of many beaches, nearest being Praia do Carvalho (Smugglers Cove)and Vale Centianes, golf courses and a variety of restaurants.

Property comprises of 2 bedrooms - 1 double with en-suite and 1 with two single beds.

2 sitting rooms - 1 at front, the original and the other at rear extension.

Why Tess Barretto chose Alfanzina

Although we have had a place in the Algarve for about 30 years we moved to this cottage after retirement because it is near the attractive town of Carvoeiro with all its amenities but at the same time this cottage gives us the pleasure of living in beautiful surroundings near pleasant clifftop walks. On the cliffs there is an 'Algar', an original water hole used for irrigation - near the lighthouse.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We fell in love with the garden which has fossilized rocks, ancient 600 year old carob trees, old fig trees, almond, orange, grapefruit, apricot and quince trees, old well and old bread oven in the garden.

We are conveniently situated to all amenities, including bus service into Carvoeiro and Lagoa from where you can get connections to other places places in the Algarve and Lisbon. There is a mini supermarket nearby as well as international supermarkets in Carvoeiro. At the same time we are away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist town of Carvoeiro, near to the pretty cove beach of Carvalho and lovely clifftop walks. As retired people our location provides the best of both worlds, near all amenities and yet reasonably away. We are within walking distance of many restaurants.
