About Tim Puddicombe

Tim and Sandra, British nationals, work and live in Dubai,United Arab Emirates, Middle East. Our intention is to spend several weeks of the year at the villa and it is our home, and not somewhere just to rent out. We are the second owner of the property during its lifetime of 35 years, and it has been extremely well maintained and cared for, and used by three generations of family. We fell in love with Moraira instantly when we found it, it has everything you would want for an enjoyable and everlasting holiday memory, a fantastic place to spend quality time with family, friends or even alone if you require a short break from the pace of “working life”. Our long term plan is to retire there.

The villa is particularly well equipped and well placed to enjoy a quality vacation. As this is a 'home' rather than just a holiday villa, the fittings and fixtures are of an exceptional quality and we will ensure if required there is a welcome pack of food and drink to see you through to the following day, so you really can just come in through the front door, unpack and relax. It boasts fabulous panoramic sea and mountain views that many comment on and remember. We are keen gardeners and enjoy good decor, and seek to continually improve the décor of such a quality villa. The solar heated pool, terraces - with both sun and shade, table tennis, outside summer kitchen and with a new barbecue and many outdoor dining spaces mean that guests often spend most of their stay at the villa. This is a very private and safe villa in a totally walled garden with electric gates at the end of a very quiet road. It has ample parking space within the premises for several vehicles, and has one garage.

What makes this villa unique

Stunning Views from every part of the house be it in the Day or Night.The whole area is outstandingly beautiful where one can take in the the tranquillity and serenity that nature offers an experience of a lifetime, unspoilt by over development, very green with mountains and much of the land is protected trust land and the coastline is some of the most spectacular in Spain. Moraira is high end quality and a very pretty 'real town', very safe to live in and walk around at night and with a lovely old part and a newer area which has been developed very sympathetically. It has sophisticated shops and restaurants as well as local tapas bars and boutiques and of course, the marina which is gorgeous. The town is vibrant, well managed and offers that “green’ environment. There are no higher rise buildings apart from two smaller legacy buildings which are not on the tourist path. It is a very clean and green environment, with plants everywhere, and is a really pretty town! It is an area considered by the World Health Organisation to have one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world. Moraira has been sympathetically developed, retaining all the old Spanish charm, and is known as the jewel of the Costa Blanca. The town has a blue flag award-winning, clean and safe sandy beach, as well as another lovely sandy cove at El Portet.

On a clear day, magnificent views include east to Ibiza, Calpe’s famous Penon de Ifach and the stunning Montgo or 'Elephant' mountains. Access is exceptionally simple via the motorways and roads: Trains run into the heart of Valencia for day-trips and Barcelona and Madrid are within easy reach. And of yes, quality shopping areas aren’t far away in Alicante and Benidrom.

The instructions given to us beforehand were perfect and we would never in a million years found it without them. Facilities were top notch and we would definitely consider staying again. Also pleased they had made sure the weather was as good as it was.

Lovely quiet villa in Moraira

We (a group of 6 40 something mums) arrived at the villa for our long girlie week end at mid day and everything was ready. We had a satnav to drive from the airport which was great until we got to Moraira then it took us over the tops of mountains and up dead ends that we couldn't turn round in and had to reverse back down the mountain! We should have read the detailed instructions sent to us by the owners as when we did we found Moraira town about a 7 minute car ride away and not a full hour that it took us! The villa is large and set out like two separate apartments however we only used the inside to cook and eat as the outside area was amazing. The views across the sea were fantastic and the naya a lovely place to eat al fresco which we did for every meal in the villa. There was absolutely everything you needed in the villa, even down to wine stoppers (which we needed for our sangria). There was a slight musty smell when we first arrived, however after opening all the doors and windows for a while this soon disappeared. The bedding was clean as was the villa, some of the crockery needed a rinse but this we thought was just due to lack of use and wasn't dirty. The pool was great although freezing but we did venture into it as our weather was lovely and we needed to cool off, we weren't in very long though! The owners were extremely helpful and we communicated by e-mail, our deposit was refunded quickly and we would have no hesitation in booking with them again. Thanks for the use of your villa we had a lovely relaxing time. One tip, you definitely need a car to get out and about.

Beautiful views, amazing villa, lovely pool

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for us to lounge around, spent pretty much most of our time in the the Naya & pool. Villa clean & spacious. Weather was amazing, Moraira is fab and will definitely be coming back. Car required if your not the fittest as villa situated on hillside... I would quite happily move permanently to El Portet. Very clean and friendly, don't won't to shout to loud about it because it was not busy which is just what we wanted. Would also highly recommend 'The Wok' opposite the large car park where market is held. Good value & excellent choice banquet style. My best Spanish holiday so far. Thank you to owners Sandra and Tim for their kind welcome pack & detailed instructions.

Large villa with a stunning view

We spent some lovely days at Casa de Suenos, a large villa, well equipped, on a hill in El Portet, a beautiful part of Moraira. The pool area with the most outstanding view is just wonderful! The nearest beaches are very nice! A trip to the waterfalls in Fonts d'Algar was exiting! Also Guadalest. We can highly recommend this villa for a holiday! We are very pleased! A large house with an amazing view

The pictures on the web site are absolutely faithful to the reality. All was clean and very well equipped. The contact with the owners and Ken and Pam (in Moraira) was perfect.
We would recommend warmly Casa de suenos to any family witch wishes to spend dream holidays in the "Pearl of Costa Blanca" Moraira.
The access to the yard is a little difficult with a car but it's easy to park in front of the house.

What a view

I would highly recommend this Villa especially for families or groups that like to holiday together but enjoy their own space. The Villa was clean, tidy and with all the facilities necessary for perfect holiday. There was also a much appreciated welcome pack. Situated in a quiet up market area with all amenities a short drive away. Already mentioned the view. In 15 years of renting Villas best so far.

Golf; La Sella: Marriott, 27 hole golf course - 10 kilometres. Benidorm: 2 x 18 hole golf course - 35 kilometres. Ifach: 9 hole course - 5 kilometres. Javea Golf Club. 18 hole golf course - 5 kilometres. Oliva: 18 holes -30 kilometres.

Travel; Alicante (nearest Airport): one hour's drive. Valencia (airport): one hour, fifteen minutes. Barcelona (main airport):4 hours approx. Madrid (main airport): 3and half hours approx. Nearest train – Teleuda: 10 kilometres.

Distances; Moraira: 5 kilometres - 8 minutes by car. Benitachell: traditional Spanish village: 4 kilometres - 12 minutes by car. Javea: three separate areas: quaint, Old town, cosmopolitan port area and Arenal busy beach -12 kilometres - 20 minutes by car. Altea: historic old town with beautiful church, 30 minutes by car. Benidorm: 40 minutes by car. Benissa: traditional Spanish town with beautiful Church and square 10 kilometers - 15 minutes by car.

Further details; Main supermarkets at the bottom of the hill on the way to Moraira: commercial centre about ten minutes walk offers Chinese, Italian and two quality Indian restaurants, pubs and tapas bars. Go-karting - for all ages (high speed carts for grown-up boys!) about ten minutes drive. Moraira offers a weekly Market (every Friday) which is superb and attracts all the locals offering great bargains and vegetables. There are also other town markets throughout the week in the locality. Terra mitica theme park and waterpark just outside Benidorm. Benidorm - night life, clubs etc (and excellent golf course). Excellent shopping venues in both Alicante and Benidorrn, offering well priced branded and Spanish goods. Wonderful seafront walks, especially between Moraira and El Portet. Simply stunning! Calpe: visit the old town and try to climb the rock.

Notes:
The Open Naya has use of a large telscope allowing you to see the Rock and mountaneous regions and out towards the sea area plus the fantastic star and moon clusters in the evening. There is a seperate large storage area ajoining to the utility room. The property has two main door entrances, facilitating upstairs and downstairs occupants if required. The property has a driveway with electric gates and main gate entrance for stepped walking up the villa.
