Watch the seals while enjoying your favorite drink from the outdoor hot tub. Wander along the private gravel beach. Enjoy a refreshing swim in Union River Bay. Savor the southern views of the Acadia Mountains from the bright and cozy sun room. Downeast Maine doesn't get any better than this! Located in East Surry, this private cottage is located at the end of a road and is just 5 miles from downtown Ellsworth and 25 miles from Acadia/Bar Harbor. We welcome our Canadian and European friends (Tina parle Francais/Richard spricht Deutsch).

Location: Downeast and Acadia < Maine < USA

Bring your bikes (local rentals available) to experience the carriage trails of Acadia National Park. Bring your canoe or kayak (local rentals available) to explore the local coves and inlets. Don't forget your rod for some excellent mackerel fishing right from shore. Visit the local seafood market and fix yourself a true Downeast Maine 'lobster feed' (lobster, steamers, corn on the cob). Consider day trips to Blue Hill, Deer Isle, Stonington, Castine, Belfast and Camden (all within a one hour drive). Or simply enjoy the beauty and serenity of coastal Maine with a good book at the water's edge.
