Amazing!

Review Submitted: January 21, 2012 Date of Stay: August 2011
I can't believe it is only now that I am writing this review. What spent two absolutely blissful weeks in this beautiful farmhouse last summer. It was perfect. The people, the house, the location - were all beyond fantastic. The owners were so attentive and even willing to share in my kitchen creations - thank you for everything. They were right there when and if we needed yet not at all intrusive in our time as a family. The artwork within the house is beautiful! Our daughters had a wonderful time discovering the bay with their big sister Caitlin for the two weeks. Truly, it could not have been better and we hope that one day - we will return to that quiet piece of nirvana.

Great Experience

Review Submitted: April 28, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
I'm just writing this review to express my gratitude and joy for having spent 2 weeks at this house last July. I was quite impressed with the condition of the house. The location is very quaint and great for "En Plain Aire" artists.
The scenery was amazing and the wildlife was captivating. My family enjoyed watching the sunset from the farmers porch and the lovely evening breeze off the bay.
I would recommend this rental for anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing corner of the world.

We're going back

Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2007
We just loved it so much last year that we're going back again. Hot chocolate on the porch while we watch eagles and seals. The rooms are large with high ceilings which makes for a very comfortable feeling. It's a step back in time which we look forward to each year.

We just got home from Maine and are ready to go back to this delightful house. It is convienent to all sorts of day trips, yet cozy enough to sit on the porch and watch to birds sit on the boat in the bay. I loved the "extras" in the house, the laundry and dishwasher, and wineglasses for the bottle we got at the nearby winery.

My family (wife and two young daughters) had a great time last summer at the Addison house. It is very spacious and quant, and the town of Addison/Jonesport is lovely (good seafood, too). It's located between Ellsworth/Acadia National Park and Canada, which makes for easy day trips to either.
