We stayed at this great apartment and probably had the best New Year in ages. We walked to Borough market and bought our food and watched the fireworks at 12. Afterwards we went to a wonderful bar restaurant who made us and the family really welcome. New years day we walked along the river and then went to a show in the evening. The tube is really close and we will be going back in the spring as we had such a great time. The owner was really helpful and even checked us in telling us all the best places to go. Really clean very good standard. Linen all new felt like a fab hotel suite
My friends from New Zealand and I spent a wonderful few days here just before Christmas. The flat is clean and well equipped, the beds very comfortable. My friends were quite jet lagged so it was an ideal place for them to relax and come and go without restrictions.We were 5 minutes walk from the river and able to walk to many of the attractions. Borough market is just 5 minutes away so we did not need to worry so much about where to eat out, although restaurants are plentiful around the South Bank and Bermondsey St. There are major building works currently around Liverpool St. Station and I feel sure that when these are completed the area will be even more attractive.
This comfortable flat was just the ticket for two couples for our few days in London before joining a Baltic cruise. The description in word and photo was very accurate, and the owner (Gaye) was most helpful. The flat provides the most spectacular views of the city, particularly at night. It is a short walk from Tower Bridge, London Bridge Station, the Shard, the Globe Theatre, the Tate Modern, the wonderful Borough Market, and more. The location on Weston Street is well serviced (walking distance) by a supermarket, pubs, restaurants, shops. I have no problem in recommending this property to anyone looking for the economy offered by a well equipped South Thames flat with great views, local character and convenient transportation access.
We planned a last minute trip to London for my daughter's spring break. Gaye was very accommodating on the last minute arrangements and payment.
My family spent six action packed days touring London out of this flat. The location was AWESOME for tourism. Tower bridge tube stop being so close allowed us to tour in two different directions every day and still stop by the flat for a rest and lunch. We stocked up on supplies at a nearby grocery store and made the most of our time in town.
Borough Market is a five minute walk for premium grocery shopping (yes, it was a frequent stop for us foodies). There is a very good selection of pubs and restaurants within minutes also. It's in the shadow of the Shard and tons (tonnes) of other very walkable attractions including Tower bridge, Tower of London, the Globe theater, Southwark Cathedral and the list goes on...
The neighborhood was quiet and safe and the flat was tidy and well equipped.
We enjoyed our trip very much indeed.
This apartment is a real home from home in central London.
It is very comfortably furnished and well equipped; lovely to find basic essentials in the kitchen. The views over central London from the 13th floor living room are stunning. Very close to the The Shard and Borough Market.
The description on the website is very accurate and the owner very helpful and accommodating. Apartment is a short walk from London Bridge station which is an ideal departure point for getting to the start of the London marathon. We really enjoyed staying here and will certainly stay again on future visits to London.
The views from every room are absolutely wonderful, especially at night. I suggest this apartment for the summer to enjoy the huge windows (which can open right up) and balcony. The apartment is located within walking distance of shops, groceries, restaurants, Globe Theatre, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London (fascinating tours!) and a few tube stations making it extra convenient (plus a lot more!) The owner was very accommodating, met us later in the afternoon, and talked with is about all of the local sights, sounds, and must sees. This is a typical London apartment with atypical (wonderful) views of the city.
Amazing Central Location, The apartment is in a superb position literally 200m from the Shard and London Bridge station. A 10 minute walk to the river and the Tower of London. There are loads of fabulous restaurants and bars and the wonderful gourmet food market is round the corner at the borough. The famous Bermondsey Antique market is at the end of the road and there are numerous galleries and wonderful attractions for the whole family in walking distance.The apartment is right in the middle of London. There are 2 double bedrooms a blow up luxury single bed , one bathroom with shower over it and sink and a seperate toilet with all linen and towels provided coffee tea etc.and free Wifi of course with an excellent connection.,
