A most beautiful house on 3 floors in the medieval village of Ramatuelle close to the famous Plage de Pampelonne home of Le Club 55 and lots of other beach restaurants.
The village is a picturesque bolt hole which offers restaurants, bars and twice weekly Artisan markets whilst being peaceful enough to escape the hustle and bustle of St Tropez. You can explore the other hill top villages and vineyards surrounding this beautiful corner of the world.
The house which nestles in the walls of the 16th century village was renovated in 2007/2008 and i8s tastefully decorated and functionally furnished to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
There are two bedrooms both are en suite one is on the ground floor. The middle floor has an open plan kitchen and living area with a sofa bed for two people. There is a utility room on the ground floor with full washing, drying and pressing facilities
Outside there is a small courtyard with plants and a fountain. There is a table and chairs so you can sit outside and have your breakfast listening to the church bells. There are numerous places to sit in the village and take in the fantastic scenery and the views down to the sea. The village is literally on your doorstep through the gated entrance and down a couple of steps..There are numerous restaurants in the village,a pharmacy, two doctors,a bakery,a butchers,a tabac which sells newspapers and magazines,a convenience store a hairdressers and much more. Even in the height of summer the village quietens down before midnight and becomes very peaceful.
It is a good idea to rent a car and there is plenty of free parking in the village. The famous town of St Tropez is approx 6 km away. The house is most suited to families with older children or for couples.
Everyone who has been to stay with us in this lovely place falls in love with the village ,the house and the surroundings. I am sure you will feel the same if you give it a try.....enjoy!
We (Bev and Andrew) took our two boys Tom aged 7 and Ben aged 4 to St Tropez in 1999, we as a family fell in love with the area and particularly the beautiful village of Ramatuelle where we would always go in the evening to eat in the lovely restaurants. We would also go to the twice weekly markets and loved to explore the narrow streets and take in the views that the village has to offer.
We decided to try to find somewhere to buy and in 2008 we managed to make our dream a reality.
Mrs Bev Wallington purchased this house in 2008
We bought 17 Rue du Centre because of its functional layout but mainly because of its wonderful location right in the centre of the Village. This Village location provides a convenient stay within easy reach of the beach and bright lights of St Tropez whilst being a peaceful and quiet place to spend the night. Also if you've had a long day on the beach you have the convenience of many places to eat at all levels within walking distance literally 2 minutes away.
We love this house and everyone who visits is captured by its magic. On opening the iron entrance gate you make your way up the marble paved arched alley way unaware of the contemporary and functional layout and décor of the house that will greet you around the corner! in the past if we've left the gate opened you get one or two tourists exploring the alley way and taking photographs of the medieval walls in side!!
