Spacious and elegant, the square is dominated by an obelisk built in the middle of the last century, recalling the assault of the Turkish fleet in 1558 and the slaughter of the inhabitants, killed or enslaved. We also find the Town Hall, a palace emblem of power, the Theatre des Born and noble Palaces Salort, Vivo and neoclassic Torre Saura owned by the nobility, which still stands in today's society.
From the Plaça del Born the streets leading into the old town, which lead us to the imposing fourteenth century cathedral built on an ancient mosque. From this point begin to spring surprises as the Església architectural Roser or Palau Saura, both transformed into showrooms. After contemplating such beauty, we Ses Voltes, through characteristic porches, a benchmark stroll peacefully and visit the local shops. Celebrating one of the most spectacular festivities in the country, 23 and June 24, Ciutadella explodes with joy with the celebrations in honor of the patron saint. A party in which the horse is the protagonist, through equestrian games that follow a ritual established in the Middle Ages. It is an expression of joy of a people who open their homes and hearts to the visitor.
