How lucky we were to find this place!!! Location -you can't wish for better one, we even didn't have a bikes -just feet was enough . Yes, the bed was very good , so is sofa. I would say not 2, 4 people can stay in this place very comfortably .
This is a perfect flat for two people. It is clean and the location couldn't be better. It is in a quaint part of town and within walking distance to great shopping/dining (9 Streets) and the Dam and Red Light district. You are located in a quiet, family type of neighborhood, with grocery stores, shops and restaurants right outside the door so if you are looking for a party, this is not the spot for you. However, if you are looking for a great place to stay, relax and explore the many different things that Amsterdam has to offer, I would highly recommend it.
First of all, I have to say that this place has the best bed I have ever slept in anywhere! It was heaven -especially after the hard beds in Italy. We absolutely loved this home. The location is amazing. There are tons of great restaurants and interesting shops within a few blocks. You can get anywhere quickly and the tram is easy to use and close by. There is a bike rental place only a few blocks away - if you google bike rental in the Jordaan you'll find it - then you can get around the whole city quickly. Get a detailed map though, it's easy to get lost and there are a lot of one way streets so you have to watch out where you're riding. The apartment is on a quiet canal and I loved to sit in the window seat of the living room and watch the boats and geese and people passing by. You wouldn't believe that you're in such a lively area because that street is so quiet. Bathroom is very small but that's not unusual for Holland - especially Amsterdam. You will need to supply your own amenities like soap and shampoo - but again I expect that in Europe so I always bring my own. Same thing with things like sugar, salt and pepper if you're planning to cook at all. The kitchen is like a little galley but well supplied with dishware, pots, etc. I totally loved having this little home to come back to every night after being out - or stopping there in the middle of the day for lunch or tea. This place was a real find.
Charming apartment in a fantastic location. Easy access to all the sites, picturesque canals views, all the amenities you need and the bed was very comfortable. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and stylish exactly how it appears in the pictures. We had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam and look forward to a return trip soon!
The apartment is on a pretty and quiet canal which is perfectly located for easy walks to shops, restaurants and museums. The owners have really thought of everything. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with oven and microwave, coffee machine etc. The bed is queen size and super comfortable! There is excellent wifi as well as cable TV.
I was greeted by Andrew who pointed out the features of the area and took me on a brief walking tour. When I had a question during my almost three week stay he was immediately available. You could not hope for better care. I would recommend renting a bicycle for your stay, its a great city to bicycle around. Don't miss the amazing bread at Vlaamsch Broodhuys on Elandsgracht, a short walk from the apartment. Also, I loved the great recommendations at The English Book Shop across the street where I picked up several new favorites.
I found this place to be perfect as a base to see Amsterdam and surrounding areas as well as just relax in.
