This retreat is located at the end of a private road and the porch is a stone's throw from a beautiful waterfall and fully stocked creek. We have included things which we feel you will appreciate during your stay. The porch and creek are the most inviting. Reading a good book while sitting on the porch is a must. Wireless high speed Internet connection is available for your use, if you have work to do. There is a hot tub as well if you want to relax. Fully stocked Kitchen, linens, and towels provided.

Great Smoky Mountain Railway Depot and Museum just 20 minutes away enjoy an excursan train , Thomas the tank engine train or The Polar Express train. All the excursions are popular

Alarka Creekside Retreat is located in a small valley which contains only 3 total properties and is quite private but only a short distance from the paved road. Although the atmosphere will make you feel much further removed from civilization. Relaxation and Natural Surroundings are the order of things for this area.

Several snow ski areas are within a short drive from this location.

This property is nesseled back in a mountain valley with a nice creek running 30 feet from the front door. Our kids spent a lot of time wading and playing in the creek. The location is only about 5 miles from Main street Bryson City and another 10 miles from the Nantahala Gorge. The furnishings were very good as a good bit of recent renovations have taken place. The hot tub was a extra bonus after a long day of hiking, shopping and whitewater rafting.

We plan on returning next year!

2007 Vacation at Creekside

My family and I stayed here in July of 2007 and throughly enjoyed it. It was very comfortable and homey. The kids especially loved the creek and stayed in it playing most of the time. It's located very central to all the things we like to do..ie white water rafting, visiting Great Smokey Mountain National Park etc...We are already planning a July 2008 vacation there at Creekside.
